Double Status Credits promotion (Book by 27/2/24, travel 28/2/24-14/2/25)

AFF threads are so predictable - does this mean the forum has evolved into a large language model AI? :-D
Haha, it's just a common theme - I actually noticed today post on the qff subreddit about when DSC would arrive too.

We've jumped up a maturity level to 3. Great work, everyone, in this thread! Now, let's continue toward level 4... ;)

Maturity models have five levels:
  1. Initial (chaotic, ad hoc, heroic) - the starting point for use of a new process
  2. Repeatable (process discipline) - the process is used repeatedly
  3. Defined (institutionalised) - the process is defined/confirmed as a standard business process
  4. Managed (quantified) - process management and measurement takes place
  5. Optimising (process improvement) - deliberate process optimisation/improvement

Has anyone’s DSC’s dropped yet? Still waiting for mine from the 28th Feb.

Data point: my DSC havent posted yet. My flight is in 6 months. My status anniversary is 12 of March and I really need those 33 SC to requal bronze. Which year will my SC count for? Should I contact Qantas in 8 weeks as per t&cs?

Flew 4, 5,7 and 8 March. No DSCs yet!

Must have missed the small print.

In the manage booking section it shows indicative SC eligible for various flights.

I am assuming this excludes the DSC calculation and just what the trip would typically earn?

ie the DSC eligibility of itineraries isn't shown anywhere?

Argh .... just had the wind taken out of my sails.

And yes I appreciate this is a rookie error to those who have got benefit out of DSC before. however just realised the DSC only apply to QF marketed AND operated flights, so not codeshares.

So my strategy to earn platinum is up in flames as I needed some of my codeshare QF marketed flights on partner metal to qualify.

Would have chosen double points if i had known as would be gold regardless.

Thankfully I had that realisation before purchasing! The original SYD-AKL flight offered wasn't on QF metal.

Why does it take 8 weeks to get your DSCs? In the past they were almost immediate.

For whatever reason, they are often slow to post DSC early in the promotion period.

I've never seen them get to "almost immediate". At best I've seen them 2-3 days after the actual flight posts.

Always the first batch have taken weeks to show up, then normal service has resumed. There is no reason to expect anything different this time around.

As for why? No idea how they do these things. Usrd to be a thiught that they need to set up the scripts/program to run the DSC iver a set of flight data, but the same thing (seemingly) has been used for years so surely just change the dates is all it would take.

Really though we don't know.

Just need to be patient for the first, to coin a phrase, "massive dump" of DSC and go from there. Since QF explicitly state up to 8 weeks, they are covered so no point asking them til May imo - and by then they should have started posting on a regular basis.

The new interns need to decipher the old dsc codes. Its their yearly hazing to be indoctrined into QF IT.

8 min to come up with sed -i 's/2023/2024/g'
8 weeks to test, debug, perf test, change manage and blue green the code.
You'd think this would have been tested before rollout, nevertheless, thanks to all for your replies to my email. I will just have to wait. Luckily my anniversary is not until end November. I wonder if they will grant status retrospectively if your anniversary is four weeks after you fly and you need the DSCs to qualify?
