Double Status Credits promotion (Book by 27/2/24, travel 28/2/24-14/2/25)

Yea, makes sense with a $174 flex. But either fare will allow change of route including dep/arr city and keep the PRN without having to refund to flight credit?
I don't know with a red e-deal, but on the route I mentioned there are no red e-deals - it only offers Flex Y, Mt Isa-Cloncurry is the same.

Does taking a flight credit (presumably same PNR) then still work?
I don't think so - as a flight credit is just a $ amount - it no longer has a booking associated with it, whereas changing the route of a Flex Y is swapping one route directly to another with a $ difference being paid.

Almost out of time for this offer so can I check a couple of things please.

1. If I’m new to AFF and didn’t bother reading the whole thread, do I still get DSCs?

2. If the question I asked was clearly answered in the T&Cs but a patient AFFer still answers it while using wifi on a JAL flight, will I get DSCs?

3. If my question is asked during the offer period but answered after the booking period ends, do I still get DSCs?

😉

Seriously though, top marks and much credit to @RichardMEL and @dairyfloss in particular who have very patiently answered the same questions repeatedly.

Your generosity and patience, especially with the one-post-wonders is admirable.

Good on you.

I believe the only way to change routing is talk to an agent.
Thanks! Was hoping I was just missing something and the change could be made online! Reading some stories about how difficult some agents have been (call centre fees, some agents might say routing can't be changed/only cancel for credit and rebook, etc.) it seems like it might be a bit troublesome!

Appreciate the help everyone's provided though!

Cheers @Captain Halliday

oh I got frustrated at times for sure, may have even needed to edit a response or two to reflect that. I do want to help even if it's answering the same question a simple search or actually reading the FAQs would answer.

I answered a few from a hospital waiting room. Will I still get DSC if the doc says you have RSI from posting and to hold off for 24 hours? :D

Btw yes, using an Amex credit will qualify. Well for the next 3 or so hours as I write.

Happy Hunting all

In all seriousness - yes many thanks to @RichardMEL & @dairyfloss, along with everyone else who has helped. Sometimes I think that it is a good thing that DSC's only happen once a year!

Pre-COVID there was often a promo later in the year targeted at some Frequent Flyers. QF may bring that back if conditions suit them to offer it.

Well, now at 33 minutes on hold, certainly left it until the last minute to make these bookings. Hoping ticketing will go through quickly.

Naturally, my last minute website booking crashed and kicked me out before payment. Now need to play the waiting game to see if they send me an email asking me to pay before midnight? It's like 2023 all over again

Noticed qantas.com is starting to slow up a little bit as I'm doing some searches... clearly quite a few people trying to pop some last minute bookings through. The bookings are being ticketed quickly however. The bookings I've done in the last hour or so have been ticketed within 10 mins.

Am through to a consultant now. The manual award release bot is taking a while too, but I am doing my best to put it through its paces!

Ticketing is not the issue(in this case), but booking (PNR) creation is key. So if that is set up before 23:59 shoukd be fine.

Wow @RichardMEL, hope you're ok.
Thanks. Just a procedure coming up. Mostly to extract the DYKWIA and entitlement from my backside. Could be a delucate op :)

Further to my earlier post, I'm guessing there are no "clever" ways to locate incomplete bookings and that's it's purely up to the great Qantas IT gods in the cloud as to whether or not they provide you with the offer via email to complete your booking?
