Double VFF Points (or SCs), April-June 2014

Can someone please confirm the email address that this offer has comes from? I've just run a search on my inbox and I'm still getting emails from several VA addresses, but note nothing from [email protected] since 5th February 2013.

I need to book a couple of flights around easter and was surpised the DSC don't cover this.

Looks like I'll fly QF... VA has no saver fares available and is therefore $100 more expensive when I want to fly!

Sometime ago I was missing out on all the emails too.. In my VFF profile on their website I was ticked for all possible marketing/promo etc. I emailed velocity and they re-enabled it somehow and all the emails started coming through again!

I did that months ago (after Sabre) because nothing was coming through. It's hard to know if it's been re-activated, particularly when I'm still getting VA emails. I have never paid attention to the email addresses before, but note that there is at least 4 others that send details/updates/holiday promotions etc. just nothing from velocity@

I phoned VA and explained the situation about not receiving emails from velocity@... for the past twelve months, despite updating my account preferences several times and emailing VFF directly several months ago. I was on hold for 15mins or so and when she came back to the phone, said it had been flagged with IT blah, blah, blah. She then explained the offer comes from Blue Holidays and that it is available to all on the website. Really????

Recently minted VA silver and got a DSC.. wife who is gold and on parental pause has no received an offer yet.. hmmm I wonder if she would get any offer???

I did not receive any email but used the link in my partners.Entered my number and came up as registered for the promotion.

Interesting .... In the T & Cs in the DSC offer email I received, it says "*This offer is available to Velocity members who have received this email only, and is strictly non-transferable" and when clicking on the link, there was no option to enter or change the Velocity number, it just went straight to a page saying "Success! Velocity Membership Number xx_xx_xx_xx_ has been registered for this promotion" so there's no way anyone else could have used the link from my email to register (OH received the DSC offer as well, so not an issue for us anyway).

Not quite. The extra are still posted to your account, so if you need 85 but net 95 your balance will be 510sc, meaning you need 490 to hit WP. The extra don't count towards requalification to gold though, that balance resets to zero.

Quick question, if I book flexis now flying between those dates.. and change them in a couple of weeks when I know exactly when I can travel, will I still get the DSC?

EDIT: Phoned and asked, you get the DSC even if you change the flights after this deal ends, provided it's within the dates. It's what I would have guessed, but have learnt better than to assume. Looks like I'm booking a TBD flexi trip to Cairns then

The Velocity Rep confirmed this principle during the December Double Status Credits promotion. I was assuming (hoping) the same would apply for this one, so it's good to get confirmation of this.
