@pippen_2k My feeling is that unlike flights, if the point are posted in 14 days, they will be for your next membership. I think you are not the only one being unsure, and no one got the sc for this offer so far so noone know for sure. If you get unluky, you should call qff team and hope they can do something about it.

Also, if you didnt join the bp program with qantas, you should. You get 10sc just for joining, and they post within a few days.

It's true that we don't have any evidence either way yet on this promo, however we do know that BP SC are backdated.

Actually the BP SC promo goes until 30 June. He should join in June so they count to his 2021 retention target.

What's the general consensus on backdating SC ? My yearly rollover is in 13 days and I am awaiting them final 10 SC to get me the next tier. If the SC takes longer than 13 days to appear in my account is that just bad luck for me ? The only reason why I purchased the netflix voucher was for the SC.
Start contacting Qantas Customer Service right now. Include the receipts with the dates highlighted etc. You need to start making the papertrail and get acknowledgement from Qantas of what your intentions are. It will make your case much stronger when you inevitably miss out on your tier increase due to Qantas delaying tactics.

The BP status credits were dated the day of join even though they posted later so perhaps the woolies status credits will too. You may be lucky.

Please don't send in woolworths receipts to Qantas (btw it's pointless, you need to send to woolworths!), you don't need a paper-trail. Let the small amount of staff there focus on processing refunds and cancellations first, rather than something you don't know if you'll get yet.

Not going near this; with Qantas Frequent Flyer status extension I am WP until November 2021. What with the points refunded from cancelled bookings, I have no pressing need for QFF points either.

So my WWR earning firmly remains locked on "Bank For Christmas".

I did email [email protected] today about my inquiry and all I got was a generic reply which totally ignored my question at hand.
I copy and pasted this from the reply:
'Our recently launched partnership with BP provides opportunities to earn bonus Qantas Points and Status Credits. And, if you have linked your Qantas Frequent Flyer card to Woolworths, for the first time ever, you can earn up to 50 bonus Status Credits on your groceries and every essential'

That is so poorly worded by QF. Firstly, it could be easily misread as having to have selected Qantas as your redemption option for the first time ever, and second, you don't need to have previously selected Qantas points to avail yourself of the bonus, if you had "save for christmas" selected for example it would immediately convert to QF points upon changing the redemption option and you'd get the SCs.

"Poorly worded by QF" - should probably be on a bronze plague somewhere... they have a track record. A very long one.

The WW bonus SC's? ... if I was a betting man (I am) I would give good odds it will backdate to the date of the original woolies points transfer(now they are more or less instant, unlike the previous 3 monthly dump - a true enhancement!!!).

but this is QF. There's precedent with the loyalty bonus rollover window feature that SC's can apply to, more or less, date of application.

The other spanner in the works is likely haste of implementation of this promotion which could mean anything....

but I'd be reasonably confident the SC's will apply to the date of points earn. Like 80% confident.

I've been wrong before though so.... good luck! :D

You are of course making the (heroic?) assumption that the scs post!

I've received a second promotional email from QFF regarding the SC deal - still no text in the T&Cs below that say whether it's targeted, just that it's "available to QFF and WR members who earn QP with WR."

Will be interesting to see how many SCs come through. There may be a trap in downloading the app at the wrong time.

Last email I have from QFF says
Earn 10 bonus Status Credits each time your Woolworths Points convert to Qantas Points, up to a maximum of 50 bonus Status Credits.

This kinda hints at no. of conversions rather than no. of points converted.

My 3,000 WoW points just came through on top of 1,500 points in my account, resulting in a single 4,000 points conversion.
Dear pineapple,

Your 4000 Woolworths Points have converted to 2000 Qantas Points.
If I had timed this when I had fewer points in my WoW account, I would have managed 2 conversions, meaning 20 nascent SCs instead of 10.

BTW Can't believe the big deal perception over 10 possibly missed SCs. How are the mighty fallen.😕

Other T&Cs such as the ones I posted earlier state that it is 10 SC for every 2000 to 1000 point conversion. It's likely just the usual poor QF T&C standard causing confusion but we won't know for sure until they convert

Qantas really do nitpick the living 5h!t outta their schemes like a dedicated tightarse. I was amazed to find recently that not all SC's are the same. Some SC have more worth and value than others to Qantas and they're counted differently according to what you get from them. I made an inquiry as to why I had not received my loyalty bonus yet, when it clearly states on my app that a loyalty bonus becomes available after accrual of 500 status credits. Well I have 540 SC's right now and there's been no sign of any loyalty bonus. I was told that only SC's earnt from actual flights taken on QF or JQ flights count towards that. SC's earnt on partner airlines and/or conversion of spending rewards or given as compensation or competiton awards etc. don't count at all.

Honestly the scheme is so ludicrously complex and the 'rules' so vague and rubbery and opaque and liable to change at any time without notice to the whims of Qantas, that no-one can possible track or police what the hell's going on.

It clearly states on my app that the status credits have to come from Qantas or Jetstar flights. Been this way for as long as I remember.20200519_024547000_iOS.jpg

You're correct and it goes further than that. For example, bonus Status Credits earned using the Qantas Premier Titanium Credit Card don't even count towards Lifetime Status, so essentially they're only good for the current membership year and then they completely vanish (despite Qantas claiming on their website that they "keep a record of all the Status Credits you've earned since joining the program").

For Loyalty Bonuses it has been a long standing rule that only QF and JQ flights count. For P1 attainment it is harder again with only QF marketed flights counting.

For anyone wanting to quickly get some points for this promotion, currently each $50 Netflix/Uber/Google Play gift card you purchase at Woolies will net you 1000 WWD (so $100 of gift cards will convert to 1000 QFF points). However today is the last day.

I got lucky with this promotion as Woolworths sent me a 6000 point offer last week which I've already earned all the points for and I got the remaining 4000 points by purchasing Netflix and Uber gift cards so this one was an easy 50 SC unlike the BP offer.

I got another reply via email today. Quote:
'as per the terms and conditions the status credits will only be posted 8 weeks after the transaction has been made'.

An easy way o think of the relative value to us of a SC is how much direct revenue to QF it equates to.eg: fly QF or JQ? that's money right in the bank, do not pass Go ec... so they will give us more for it because it means (a little) more to them. bonus SC's from non airline partners like BP etc? they're at the other end of the spectrum. And partner airline SC's? somewhere in the middle.

This is the same logic as to why one requires 2700 SC's earned on QF/JQ to attain P1, even if you earn 10k SC's from all sources. It's all about $$$ to them.

Now having CC SC's not count towards LTSC when even DSC promos and the like do (but of course bonus SC's earned from such promotions don't count for loyalty bonuses ...) is yes definitely nitpicking it to death I agree.

I just go in knowing what I need (or rather what I need for what I want) and plan for that. The rest... well it happens.

There are many airline loyalty programs with inequities and the like. QF does seem to be one of the more complex.

I did not get this offer by email but it's good to see that it is now published on the Qantas website although I can only see it after logging in to my account. The T&Cs on the website says the maximum SC earn is either 40 or 50.

For every 1,000 Qantas Points earned with Woolworths Rewards (which will convert automatically once 2,000 Woolworths Points have been earned), members who have chosen Qantas Points as their reward option after Tuesday 5 May 2020 will earn 10 bonus Status Credits, up to a maximum of 40 Status Credits per member. Members who have chosen Qantas Points with Woolworths Rewards prior to Tuesday 5 May 2020 will earn 10 bonus Status Credits, up to a maximum of 50 bonus Status Credits.
