PLEASE NOTE THE AIRLINE MAY CANCEL AT ANY TIME - MISPRICED FARE

Fare is a total of 8,284,000 VND, which is ~530 AUD. Not sure whether dates around mine will work, although there is potential availability around the new year as well. Have to book on Skyscanner's Vietnam website. Other destinations seem to include New York, Toronto and San Fransisco.
Have received tickets via email, and the reservation on ANA's website does say ticketed, which is nice, but of course not a guarantee.

Once more, please book this and other connecting flights/hotels at your peril. The airline may cancel the ticket.

Good luck!

This was first available over 24 hours ago as reported on FT - Cx j: Dps-ams $402 - business - FlyerTalk Forums

All OTA bookings were cancelled but ANA tickets in VND via their Vietnamese website remains intact - watch this space.

The deal died at the stroke of midnight Vietnam local time (3am AEDT), just before you posted here.

I put together a few itineraries yesterday but never pulled the pin. Good luck to those that got in.

I’m in the US atm and saw the new thread early today local time but reading the comments I figured it was going fizzle pretty quickly. There’ll be some happy campers if any stick!

I booked CX J CGK-LHR//MAD-DPS a few weeks ago for sub $4k and thought that was good! 😁

I was planning to be in KUL anyway as part of a seperate trip, so saw it and fired near straight away - couldn't find dates that worked for flights into New York unfortunately, as it would've been very nice to get the Room rather than their less-impressive but still more than adequate 789 J. Will update post to reflect deal status

"Mispriced"? How do you know that? Do you work for NH? As noted on the FlyerTalk thread, this fare a flash sale, for exactly 24 hours, to coincide with some Indonesian holiday.

I got two in J for AUD495 return each.
True, I don't work there - I think the exact wording of the sale was "what do you mean airfares are more expensive - here's some evidence to the contrary"

Awesome stuff getting those fares - where are you flying to/roughly when?

Both tickets are fully refundable open jaws, into JFK and out of IAD, in the next couple of weeks.

Almost certainly an error. Regulatory authorities and courts aren't stupid.

NH will have to prove it's an error, of course.

The whole 'ban' on calling it an error fare is a bit silly. Will likely have zero impact for a fare at this level.

Will note I'm now flying into JFK instead of IAH (still flying out from IAH), with the change fee costing a grand total of 1,600,000 VND (~$100 Aud). Seems like it's ticketed still

Seems like tons of people got info into the deal. Any updates on if ANA will honour the error fare?

American maintains that the explosion of social media mentions not only prompted significantly more bookings than normal, they also put readers on notice that the fares were published by mistake. American states that in numerous social media contexts, posts were made characterizing the offered fares as a “mistake fare” and urging consumers to purchase them quickly and not take any actions that might alert American to the fact the mistaken fares had been offered.3 In American’s view, social media posts acknowledging or recognizing that the fares were offered by mistake yet urging readers to rush to book them shows an intent to cheat, as many consumers knew the fares were not valid.

The news articles about this say that there was an error in currency conversion rates.

Surely a flash sale would be publicised and there would be notice of it on the ANA website. Also, a sale would be unlikely to have fares that cheap.

Edit: Sorry, I've just realised I might have missed sarcasm / doublespeak in the post I quoted.
