Re: EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions

Speaking of which, that offer ends tomorrow..

Cellarmasters: Buy Wines Online, Red or White Wine, Mixed Dozen

Seems that only straight dozens of Red OR White are left, The mixed dozen is showing as sold out...!

Edit: The whites are quite drinkable and thinking of getting another 2 dozen (using Mrs Shintaro's EDR account number) with another $50 off coupon (using her email address), 24 bottles delivered for just over $100 and 600 QFF points makes this a sweet deal...

Yep I am in for that, just ordering now

Hope they don't run out of the Whites

I knew I was meant to do something tonight :o

Will just have to add it to tomorrow nights jobs - AA points & QF points in one night :D

Received my Cellarmasters bottles yesterday. I ordered a mixed and red-only case and got a big mix of wines, but quite happy to add them all to the cellar. They’re mostly short term, but a few say medium term cellaring.

It looks like they have added a new mixed dozen now... Tempting...

That tidbit was always there. I think I may have got a real mix of original wines and replacement wines, as the numbers don’t add up exactly between the mixed case and only-reds. I do have 24 bottles though so I’m happy :)

Re: EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions

I had to get some bonus points for the week , so chose to get the red wine offer. By the time I organised it, the offer closed (AEST ), so I only used my $10 new member coupon (and had to get 2 dozen). Still, $141.90 for 638 QFF and 210 MR points isn't too bad.

I got another 2 dozen on Mrs shintaro's EDR account last night before the offer closed. Also used the $50 off voucher so another 24 bottles + 600 QFF + 100 QFF on the EDR credit card.

A really good offer for everyday drinking wine...

Well, whilst the wines have been dispatched, they haven't arrived yet (neither have the Woolies EDR points) - but the Amex MR points have:

and so the wait starts

Placed order 23rd Jan.
"Leaving warehouse" 26th Jan (yeah, right!)
Arrived on our door 1st Feb (in Perth)

No sign of the points yet, but they'll arrive.

Cheers to the OP for the heads up and link.

The most frustrating thing is the delays now in EDR posting points to accounts. There was a time not that long ago, that it would happen the next day. Then they stopped putting in the line "transferred to QFF" (well, they've stopped it in my account). Now they say that points could take up to a week to post.

That's fine, it making me look less and less at the Woolies & EDR website and more at Coles. Degradation of the strong brand loyalty....

Took advantage of this at about 11:50 pm on the 31st. Personally don't particularly like Cellarmasters (and in particular the way they ring you so often) but this promotion made the price too attractive.

EDR points get swept into QFF every Friday (although it was australia day last week), what is says on the EDR site is not what acutally happens as far as dates go!

So overall ordered 4 cases on 2 accounts with 2 $50 off vouchers and used a referral link for the second account. 4 cases ~$210

Then got $20 winebucks per account and combined it with another $50 voucher per account to get $70 off my next orders. In addition I found that starthere, a cash back site, offer a 10% cashback on purchases if you arrive via their link. The best part is the cashback seems to pay from the prediscount amount!

Bought a further 2 dozen of different wines (Brookland Valley Verse 1) priced as ~$160/dozen for ~$72 delivered
It's $85.55 per 6 on Dan Murphys website!

On Tuesday I ordered 3 cases (the 'new' mix, one reds, one whites). They arrived at my house this morning (Melbourne Metro). I even got an SMS to confirm the delivery.

Price for 36 "Everyday" bottles was $127.85 including delivery (with the $100 targeted EDR CC offer). It should yield 628 QFF points (500 + 128), plus MR points on the purchase.

So for $3.55 per bottle I couldn't resist.

Does anyone have any suggestions of the 'more' or 'less' drinkable ones?

I can only speak in regard to the White Wine Mix, if that's any help...

These are the better ones in the Whites Mix: -

Pelican Point Pinot Grigio 2011Pinot Grigio is soaring in popularity thanks to its fresh, crunchy fruit flavour and bright acidity. Because its unoaked, you get the full impact of the fruit, making it a perfect, light lunchtime white or barbecue sipper.

Dorrien Estate Bin 4 Riesling 2011Balance. Poise. Grace. These words may sound as if they belong in a classical ballet review, but this wine is deserving of such praise. Crafted with a deft hand, it shows all of those qualities, conducted by a moderate 12% alcohol and a pianissimo line of gentle acidity on the finish.

Tolley Cellar Reserve Chardonnay 2011From the trusted Tolley stable comes this newwave Chardonnay with delicately crisp peach and crunchy melon fruit supported by a soft hint of vanilla to finish. Its the perfect white wine to pour with a dish of stirfried calamari served with a fresh garden salad.

Furthermore, I found this one to be too sharp and acidic and not really well suited to my taste... But it has a nice colour changing label when it gets to the right drinking temperature.

Neil Mcguigan Series Chardonnay 2010Luscious tropical and peach fruit flavours with spicy, vanillin oak balanced by crisp cleansing acidity.

Can't comment on the others since we have not tried them yet...

Well, with this one finished (unless they extend), pehaps we need to move to this wine offer through Wine Direct. Look out, they do gift vouchers :D ;).

At 5 points/$ (until 31/12 as well), not a bad offer on the points side. Need $100 per purchase to equal the Cellarmasters promo - purely on the points side (ignoring CC bonus points).

Nothing there for me since Amex wont give me a card...

I only have ever been given an Amex through the big 4, and cough at only 1:1 earn... For me these types of cards are toast before their anniversary as they are only good for sign-up points...

I think even If I was a millionaire, both Citi & Amex would still hate me Grrrrrrr :evil::evil:

Edit: Sorry for the OT vent...!

I will stick to Cellarmasters since I can earn QF and DJ points on most transactions ;), and use up certain gift cards ;), not to mention they just sent a $20 voucher for birthday month!
