DJ points earning, an interesting option markis10...I am chasing all the QFF points I can at present. But I'll check in on both suppliers at the time I am buying to see who has the best wine prices and/or promo offers.

My last order got 431 Velocity points and 107 EDRs, paid using a gift card that also earned 408 Velocity Points , not bad for $107 spend.

Well, with this one finished (unless they extend), pehaps we need to move to this wine offer through Wine Direct. Look out, they do gift vouchers :D ;).

At 5 points/$ (until 31/12 as well), not a bad offer on the points side. Need $100 per purchase to equal the Cellarmasters promo - purely on the points side (ignoring CC bonus points).
As a serious Wine lover would have to say the quality and Value for money of WineDirect is WAY better than Cellarmasters. Beside my fascination with travel, wine is a close second and if you follow the posting on my favored wine conversation site (Red Bigot if anyone is interested) you won't find anyone who disagrees on this analysis. Cellarmasters do have a few fine wines which are decent prices with the right vouchers, but not otherwise. However generally a lot of dross otherwise and not good prices.

Wine Direct are always very well priced, good quality and VFM and get bonus MR points as well. They absolutely get my vote.

My 2 dozen reds turned up this morning to delivery address (work), so a week from order to delivery. I wonder if it was mere coincidence that an email with a $20 off next order arrived this morning :o ;)

These point offers are becoming a serious problem for me, was looking at wine fridges this morning - 100-200 bottle capacity

That's an interesting problem to have markis10 - but many of these bottles I wouldn't put in my wine fridges (yes, I have two :o ).

I note with interest the T&C's from my voucher:
^Terms and conditions – Voucher valid for 30 days upon receipt on purchases with a minimum value of $120. One voucher may be redeemed per order, valid for single use only, not transferable for cash, voucher cannot be used on beer or free beers offers. Not available in conjunction with any other offer. The unique voucher code must be quoted at time of order.
Making me spend a nett $100 with them, so minimum bottle value is $8.33, and I have 30 days to order - so do I drink some of the first 2 cases (or just buy them to stock my quaffing wine rack - plenty of space on it).

I also got a "$20 off next order" coupon today. A bit pointless, as I still have the $50 voucher mentioned earlier in the thread (also a 30 day expiry).

The first 3 cases were a bargain with the targeted voucher - $3.55 per bottle is hard to argue with.

Not sure how many more cases I can justify buying, especially as I don't drink a lot of wine at home. *cough* The prices for the premium brands are okay (with voucher), but not too special compared with buying abroad.

For a while my local WW was selling wine fridges, though seems to be sold out now. Not sure where they get them from… they were such big boxes they had to display them at the front of the store!

Also, no sign of my points from Cellarmasters yet, how long do they normally take to post?

Hmm, mine appear to be doing the opposite - not appearing is the problem. Checked both my EDR (and my QFF account just in case) - lots of bonus points starting to appear ^

It is interesting to see the two pages of Optus/CC/EDR points :D in my QFF account, but nary a flight to be seen :o

For those contemplating using their low value vouchers, the link for $50 vouchers still works, and you just need the voucher code, you do not need to purchase with the email to which the voucher was sent (as the system will not send a second voucher to an address). I have a few spare codes I think, if anyone needs one, as I also got 4 or 5 from the pass-the-parcel promotion.

Cynicor, when I logged into the webpage to try and use the $50 voucher at 10 minutes after midnight on 31st Jan, it gave me an error message that the promo had ended. I tried it again the next morning and the same thing.

Will have to go back and try it again - if so, then I would love to get a code as I think there is some further purchases I could make ;)

PM sent. In return, any pointers as to a good buy? I'm really bad with wine, but I know I like the sweet white stuff the most. Dessert wines are king.

Had a few apparently nice bottles over the last few years that were presents. Really can't appreciate them, especially the reds, yet.

Cynicor, PM received and response sent.

I collect reds but my collection has been focused on a number of decent quality collectible reds (Penfolds & Moss Wood). Let me have a look at what they have on offer.

Someone else that likes stickys! Wonderful as I also have a small collection of them as well (about 16). My favourite is Noble One, got them back to 1997.

I just got this email from Cellarmasters:

[TD="bgcolor: transparent"]Dear Lindsay,
Our Warehouse Manager has stumbled across some great parcels of wine from some of the leading wineries, but in quantities too small to advertise on their own. I need to move them on, so we've mixed them up and popped them into our ever-popular Mystery Mixes.
But these Mystery Mixes are a little different because, not only will you get quality wine for far less than their normal per bottle price, but six lucky people will also find a bottle of Penfold's Grange Shiraz 2005 (valued at $650) in their Mystery Mix!
Yes. You read that correctly. Six Mystery Mixes will include a bottle of Penfold's Grange Shiraz 2005… and all for only $119.88*, just $9.99 a bottle.
Imagine telling your friends you only paid $9.99 for a bottle of Grange! Six lucky customers will be able to say exactly that – don't miss your chance to be one of them!

No, I didn't get that one unfortunately. They must know there's a few vouchers out there as the min. spend on most (and I haven't double checked mine) is $120. May need to add the cheapest carton you can find to the mix.

Also, I still have a few vouchers with Late Feb expiry if anyone else wants one. If you'll allow me to refer you and purchase through the link emailed we will both also earn $20 wine bank cash.

PM me if you are interested.

The $50 vouchers expired 31st Jan!
Not the one I got ;) - thanks to Cynicor.
