Re: EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions

...and just 5 more days from delivery to appearing in my QFF account. That is amazingly fast compared to my last transaction.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Re: EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions

Both mine, 1117 and 1069, came into QF account quickly as well. Might have to do the wine offer on my Velocity account for 1,318 points. Only terms are online purchase so single bottle buy here I come. Only bummer is $9.95 postage but could do a few times.

Re: EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions

I had a $20 worth of wine bank to use so the 30c voucher ended up coming at a reasonable cost:

Damn, I should have been drinking or giving away more wine - I can't use this promo...:(

I know the feeling. As mentioned on another thread, I am having serious storage issues.

Although TBH I am not sure this offer is as fantastic value as some of the cheap dozens with 500 or 1000 bonus points in the past (especially when combined with vouchers). The problem I have with fuel vouchers is getting the car to be as close to "empty" as possible on a "cheap" fuel day to get maximum value for the tank fill (...or do have lots of jerry cans??).

As a side note I am getting through the 60 'everyday' bottles I have from Cellarmasters.

However I have a bit of buyer's remorse for my first transaction when I purchased 3 cases (to use a lucrative voucher). Paying $3.55 per bottle is super cheap and a few wines are okay. But several of the wines are pretty nasty. I have taken to tasting a bottle. If I don't like it, I immediately put it in the kitchen and open something I trust. Said bottle is then used in cooking. Luckily I love cooking, so I have had a few white wine sauces and a regular bœuf bourguignon using the reds I haven't liked (so not real bœuf bourguignon, but close enough :p:p).

I think the optimal way to use these offers is 1x cheap case for cooking (and the bonus points), then 1x case of something decent, which pushes the spend up to the voucher level and subsequently knocks down to a respectable price. Much as markis10 suggested (and I copied) for the most recent bonus offer (with the Penfolds).

Totally agree on the buyers remorse. I got a couple of these Cellarmasters reds recently with the 1,000 bonus points for both and they are not much chop in my opinion but that is to be expected based on their price. Like yourself if I don't like a bottle I just leave it or maybe use it in cooking and go for something I like, good to see if there will be bonus points based on buying 2 decent cases or something of the likes.

I have stuck with the White selections only and while there is the odd bottle which is below average, in general the majority are worth the money paid when taking the 1,000 QFF into consideration. IMHO, I don't buy "cheap" reds...period...!

My rule for reds is nothing <$10-$15 where as there are some good whites below the $10-$15 mark, the NZ wine is a good example of this.... the 1,000 QFF bonus dozen makes the whites OK value, where as the reds are too cheap for me to believe that they are drinkable....

My 2c worth anyway...

Yes I got the Cellarmasters wine offer too. I wonder what they would be like at about $6 a bottle.

Also got a Big W offer double points for spend over $30.

Re: EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions

All reds? Now you are talking! We have become very fond of the reds in favour of whites. I will have to investigate the site.
Thank you boylero for the suggestion.

Re: EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions

12 wines for $69 for 1000 bonus points for me.

Woolworths getting their targeting right I think. I'm overseas so having an offer valid until 30 September is handy...and I'll pretty much drink methylated spirits so spot on with the offer.

Some of the posts you see now on this thread were originally posted on the edr targeted offers thread and then moved here. For a while they had been "deleted" from the targeted offers thread and for my browser weren't appearing anywhere. When I got a notification of your post, as soon as I checked the page I saw the moved posts. Last I checked the targeted offer thread the page numbers didn't make any sense. I figured that the site or my browser would correct the issues eventually.
