Thank markis10, I like your quote :D...that might just make this cat/dog food giveaway worthwhile, as with $85 worth of dog/cat food donated to a DGR:

No deduction, points cost is 3.4c
@30% MTR, net cost is reduced to $59.50, so points cost is 2.368c
@40% MTR, net cost is reduced to $51.00, so points cost is 2.04c
@45% MTR, net cost is reduced to $46.75, so points cost is 1.87c

So now I might be able to score some bonus points! Even if they don't send me personal offers. Woohoo!

I just realised when making lunch that I have already scored 50 pts from this promo when buying my lunch fillings for this weeks' sandwiches.

Hi Guys
I received their weekly catalogue but nothing in it about the 50 points for 2 select items. however I can see it on their website when I follow your links, how did you know it was there ??? Do you constantly check their website for promotions ???

It's on Page 8 and 9 of catalogues I've seen in Vic and WA. Along the bottom of the pages.

I only found it on the website after seeing it in the catalogue

Hmmm... I don't think you will get the cat/dog food as an allowable deduction, based upon the ATO link that Markis10 posted up. I think that the difference with the clothing donated is that this will be treated as trading stock to the charity and therefore meets the gift type criteria.

Wait until Lindsay Wilson's accountant gets back with better info, but you might be better off trying to find something to donate to a charity that the charity can then sell. Not sure what that would be but maybe all of those WOW toothbrushes you were buying with the other promotion.

My accountant has agreed with the information that markis10 and I quoted above.

So long as one can get a signed receipt from the charity, then the purchase price paid by us would be the donation amount. She saw that one of the hurdles would be getting the receipt - she quoted the RSPCA site states it prefers cash donations (I haven't had a chance to review that point).

Spring Hill woolies seemed to have run out of cat and dog food this morning, and I seem to have something rolling around in the boot every time I turn a corner :)

Cheapest Woolworths Select items I found doing my research 2 weeks sgo for one of my EDR promos were $1 (packet pasta mix amongst other things) and I think $1.06 (1.25l soft drinks). 50 points for $2 is easy. Looks like I'll be loading up as well :)

Couldn't find the soft drink in Woolworths Warnbro last night, not even empty cut in's, will have to try Rockingham.

I am a bit confused, I bought some of the dish washer tablets promoted in the latest email I received, paid $26.00 ( approximately ) Per box.
Mrs GPH hit the roof, pointing out that the identical item was available from grocery direct for $9.00 per box.
Naturally the 80 odd QFF points are not worth the additional cost.

Have noticed the updated statement on the webpage for this offer:

Did a walk through of Woolies Brisbane CBD store this morning. These are some of the items you need:

Sorry markis10, didn't get to the taco seasoning shelf but presume they have restocked by now ;)

That's why I need to be very careful about my purchases ;)

Although my $3 Big W T-shirts for the kids were exceedingly well received last night - until she found out the reason why :o - that took the gloss off the purchase :o

Received offer this week prchase any 4 vmens personal care items from a select range and get 300 bonus pts - so 4 x Rexona mens deodorant for $16 I think nets 300 bonus pts - gotta love that.

Cruiserette received offer purchase any 5 items from deli and receive 300 bonus pts - 1 slice ham / 1 slice cheese / 1 rash bacon / 6 sindried tomatos / 10 olives - total spend $6 - 300pts - deli dragon thought Cruiserette was mad - gotta love bonus pts.

Woolworths select jelly at 79 cents is an easy get, with five different flavours hopefully cutting down the repetition of buying in bulk.

For those interested, here is the Select range of products full list...research away ;).

Most of the bottles of soft-drink are $0.99
Rippled wholegrain Chips are $1.00
Fruit salad (individual tins 410g) $0.99
Liquid sauces $0.99 (markis10 will attest to this)
Jellies $0.79 (as noted by Formal Hall)
Toothbrush/Toothpaste holder $0.99 (see photo above)
Taco Seasoning Mix $0.74 (markis10 will attest to these as well :D)
Cat Food (Wet) 100g $0.85 (but there are 3 on special at $0.69 - eg Chicken Liver Gravy, Chicken With Prawn and Tuna Mackeral)
Dog Food (Wet) 100g $0.85

So the best I can see is the cat food at $0.69

Note that "Specials start on Wednesday and end on Monday."

Just used the taco seasoning in my tacos and have to say quite good. Different to the major brand but more of a authentic taste I think.

It is hard for me. I have always been a staunch "protect my favourite brands" kind of girl, including never buying the store brand milks as I heard they pay the farmers less for the product. But I hang my head down low as I see in my pantry with enough packets to cover the next few months of my family's mexican meals.

I did also buy a few of the chunky chocolate chip biscuits that I have bought before, but consoled myself this is okay is it is different from any other available choc chip biscuit, and enough disposable plates for this year's parties.

These extra things will obviously push up my cost per point, but I figured there is now way I can come close to you professional point hunters here.

Thanks of the OP for pointing out this offer. Much appreciated.
