Not a bad week...

DeKa
WW Boost your points When you spend $100 or more this week ($100-$124/100 points, $125-$149/150 points, $150+/300 points)
BigW 250 bonus points When you spend $30 or more this week

MrsDeKa
WW Double points Receive 2 Qantas Frequent Flyer points per dollar spent over $30 in one transaction
BWS 250 bonus points When you buy 4 or more 750ml bottles of wine this week

I think shintaro10x is going to blow my title out of the water though.

serfty: boost points: $50 - 100bp, $70 - 150bp & $100+, $250bp.

So -

spend $100 in one transaction using EDR M/C: earn 70 edr + 100 standard m/c + 100 bonus m/c + 250 = 520.

Or -
spend $70 in one transaction using EDR M/C: earn 40 edr + 70 standard m/c + 70 bonus m/c + 150 = 330.

Mrs VC - Double point at WW (meh), but 250 points for $30 spend at Big W (good).

AVC - Double point using EDR MC (yay), too bad it's only at WW group stores, otherwise I'd be paying for accommodation and flights and all sorts of cough.

Off to Big W...

Qantas flights booked on the Qantas merchant account (e.g. through the QF website), earn 2 points per dollar as it is.....

I also received the EDRCC offer, however I use Platinum Edge and get x3 points, so an offer for x2 points isn't going to tempt me. 2nd offer was the $5 bakery offer for 100 points - will probably buy something for morning tea in work to use this.

Received a further offer this morning. 250 bonus points for >30 spend at Big W. Will definitely use this one. :)

I put my money on markis10 to takes the crown for the second quarter - he certainly took advantage of WOW  ...um, sorry, I meant to say took advantage of both the "Select" and "Macro" offers:lol:. He cracked 10K of bonus points on just the Select one IIRC .

We are back in the pack as "also rans" :o

It was just under 20K with the select deal, probably looking at around 50K in total for the quarter in bonuses I hope.

Sure is nice to earn points to that level in 30 days without having to fly!

Another of my accounts received double points at woolies for $30+ spend, came through Monday at about 11am!

Late!

Urrrh, was about to cancel my EDRCC, now double points .... can I be bothered keeping it and paying it off for another month before canning it??

LW - Yes you are right - At least I did get one offer. Rallyboy received an offer at 1pm today, so now we have the WW double point offer. 11 visits to WW is impressive, although Markis10 has probably surpassed everyone here on that one too. 50K of points is amazing!

Oh, we are not worthy to be on the same bulletin board as markis10.

I'll be in a tie for about 5th I'd think for Q2.

It will be possible to catch up when he starts using all those points to travel to a country where there is no Woolworths!
I showed Mrscove those success numbers and she said that we are a bit obsessed.
I think that is a good thing seeing we all have strengths and weaknesses.
i have 2 offers so yes it was marvelous what a difference Milo makes!

Perhaps a trivial question, but what is the cheapest item you can practically buy at Woolworths? One grape or something? And what is the cheapest item at the average Big W. Both my locals have self-checkout. Just useful to know as some family members have the 200 points for purchases across two stores offer, but we want to keep the main spend in my account as I have a double point offer.

Cove, Mrs Shintaro has not been shown how the "obsessed" one is earning points so easily through EDR, for her it merely seems that her man treats her to a J ticket when needed, which she knows comes at a premium cost. Her J seat is usually an upgrade from a cheap Y seat which is easy to do and pay for in points when you know how to play the "game" to its fullest...

Obsessed I may be, however every spend for points is based on calculations on value & need, Everything I/we buy we need anyway, and we do buy the "weekly special" items, so the loyalty is generally on our terms not WOW's.

There is still a problem where the burn rate exceeds our earn rate, however the ATO thread has helped this immensely

You can’t buy one grape, but look in the tinned aisles and you’ll probably find something very cheap, and useful all the same.

Point 2: LW dont forget to use your QEDRCC for the Cellarmasters 1,000 QFF promotion for the 2x points (~1220 QFF for your $110 spend - Used with $50 voucher and 2x the wine offer delivered)

Is that offer still going? Or is it a new one?

Can someone please link me (either here or PM)...

Point 3: going to love using this card for business fuel purchases over the next few weeks

It is worth noting that 'business expenditure' is against the published T&C. It is hard to prove either way, but one member of this forum had their card cancelled for blatantly flaunting this rule... So don't push it too far ;)

FWIW the earn rate on my co-brand AmEx EDGE is 2x on "service stations" anyhow, and the MR points are probably more valuable than QFF anyhow.

LOL, never waste a mile?

Wollies - single items of larger fruit, or tins of stuff are a good bet.
Big W is harder than Woolies to spend a tiny amount - maybe check out the stationary isle ;)

In reply to Formal Hall, you can buy one apple or one pear or one potato at Woolworths or homebrand jelly for about 30-40 cents. I recently purchased one pear for 30 cents in order to take up an offer. I go into Big W from time to time. I don't know all of their prices but the one I go to usually has cheap childrens toys in boxes starting at $1 each. My children love the giant bubble wands. Big W also has chocolates and other lollies which you may be able to get for less than $1. Try the stationery(?) section. Rulers used to sell for about 30 cents and you might be able to get a pen or another small item under $1.

Of course, some CC companies issue members with Personal and Business cards, all linked to the one account ;)
