I have been watching the construction in-store for the past few weeks/month, and the sushi bar is now open. Covers came off a few days ago.

I'm curious to see how this pans out.
"Sushi like l've never seen or tasted before" - Now that is some marketing...

If the Sushi is anything like Potts Point it comes from the guys who own the Zushi chain.
Its generally pretty good
(and also marked down around 7/8pm every night)

Time will tell. l'll give it a go for 200 points tonight.
l usually grab something on the way home every night from an outlet near Town Hall or Wynyard anyways.

3 bits of love from EDR for me this week. I went 12months without any offers and in the last month I've been getting them pretty reguarly.

I'd love some coral trout sashimi, do they sell that? If so I'll have to get permission to fly down :p

That's nothing - try going through with entire trolleys of the same product, that looks far worse.

Generally that just makes it seem like you're going on camp. 21 tins of tuna looks a little odd, and sounds odd as she scans it 21 times!

Hi all,

We are luckily on holidays overseas for the next month, but I was wondering what to do with any offers I may get from EDRC. What is the consensus, am I better off ignoring them in the hope they give me better offers for when I get back, or activating the offers but (obviously) not using them?

I'm going to go red at the checkout:

Lol, I did this today as well! As I can see, 21 cans as well!

Big W and WW/WW Liquor items are both available online. I don't know if you can do this, but maybe you can send the items to a friend or relative?

I regularly receive offers immediately before I leave, or when I am away.

I have the barcode on the back of the EDR CC, so my orange card is on permanent loan to my father who will scan it to trigger the offer (if he doesn't have a better offer himself).

At the end of the day there are plenty of targeted offers that I miss out on... But lets face it - a couple of hundred points is not the end of the world. Plus I earn a lot more points (and SCs) from the BIS flying I am doing which means I can't take up the offers.

The question is - did you get two full 12 packs and remove the 3 cans to make it into a 21 pack?

Or was there a "9" pack already there?

Rallygirl, I agree with penegal. Find somebody who you trust with your card, email/SMS them the offers and collect the points. I'm sure you can find some Duty Free or special present ;)

I have seen some of the deli/milk bar owners etc do that many times. One even ordered a pallet load of Coke one week!

No, the shelves were in disarray, so I had to grab 21 cans individually.

Pretty much the same for me, I had to dig and reach to the far back of the shelf (and it was dark back there, who knows what was lurking). Then after a few cans were in the trolley I decided I’d use their boxes too.

Craig Thompson can be trusted with a card ;)

Thanks everyone. We have already left so I will take Penegal's advice and bask in my flying and sleeping points rather than shopping points. Good idea about leaving my card with someone, although that would involve my family and friends finding out about my point addiction, and I am not sure I am quite ready for that. So, I will activate all my offers to hope that more keep coming, and if any fabulous offers come I will order them online. I will live in hope that they send me a welcome back offer in the meantime.

Waiting on the new WOW store to open at Everton Park (Flockton Street, next to EP Hotel). Will be able to shop there every Sat to pick up points ;)
