It cost me $982.56 in total but this will drop to $600 or so after my charity donations come off my tax, sadly wine is not tax deductible.
markis10, actually it can be if you give it to clients - that why I have my Cellarmaster wines under my desk. Had it confirmed by my accountant before I started to buy.

Very good to have my very first AFF meet up with the legendary Lindsay Wilson...!

Thank's for the afternoon coffee and tactical discussion today Lindsay, Penfolds 389 on me when we meet again...

Also looking forward to catching up with some more people around here one day too, Hope to see cove in a few weeks to enrich my AFF life even more...! Also would be nice to meet PF one day too, PF has been so helpful to me with our recent family trips to MEL & SIN with the 5 of us needing accommodation suggestions & advice...
Good to meet someone whose exploits I modelled my late entry to EDR madness (Nov 11). However you have dogged my every step ;) and are running away with it at the moment due to the unrequited loyalty shown by EDR at the moment. Living vicariously through everybody elses exploits on Macro this week :sob:

Now there's an idea... Pity the bonus point wines aren't really *that* good. I would feel strange giving a $3-4 bottle to a client.

  • Eating tomatoes, ketchup, tomato sauce and tomato paste-topped pizza more than two times a week can reduce the risk of prostate cancer by 21 to 43 percent according to Dr. Edward Giovannucci of the Harvard University School of Public Health. *1
  • "The only nutrient that turned out to have significant preventative value (against prostate cancer) was lycopene," writes Dr. Giovannucci who also found that lycopene was most efficiently absorbed into the body when accompanied by dietary fats (limpids). *1
  • "Cooking tomatoes in oil encourages intestinal absorption and results in a two-to-threefold rise in plasma lycopene concentrations," said Dr. Giovannucci. "Tomato sauce is one of the best lycopene sources." *1
  • Men who eat two or more servings of tomato products average a 35 percent reduction in prostate cancer risk. *1
  • Tomato products are beneficial in aggressive cancers that have also spread to other parts of the body. *1
  • The best food sources of lycopene according to the Tomato Research Council in New York City: ( Amount of lycopene in one ounce) Tomato Sauce, Spaghetti Sauce, Ketchup (5 mg); Tomato Soup, Canned Tomatoes, Tomato Juice, Vegetable Juice (3 mg); Minestrone Soup, Vegetable Soup, Pink Grapefruit (1 mg) *2
  • Lycopene helps women guard against cervical intra-epithelial neoplasia, (CIN), tumorous tissue growth in the cervix according to research from the University of Illinois at Chicago. *3
  • Lycopene is a powerful inhibitor of the growth of breast, endometrium (inner lining of the uterus) and lung cancer cells. *4

depends also on the QUALITY of the client...! the wine might just slot in nicely with some clients ??
sumthinfornuthin has hit it on the head, the premium wines (Wine of the Year finalist case) are for A & B clients, the others are for C class clients. Any new clients are also given bottles based on tiered revenue levels.

I must be in the wrong thread. I have somehow come across people obsessed with shopping.

Dont get too depressed, at least your local stores will have a chance to restock ;), think I will close out the weekend with 50K of QFF!

Yes, I'm not as comfortable with all this shopping as Markis10, but in the end we all need to eat, and most of the items we are purchasing are items with a very long use by date, hence we are just stocking up ahead so the only real cost is short term cash flow.

Still, I don't think I will have a need to buy pasta & tinned tomatoes for the next 12 months...!

Not sure what I would do if I got another Macro offer again next week...!

Considering 38 Macro Tomatoe Cans will earn 3800 QFF points at a cost of $42.96 after gift card discount of 10%, & gets you a $25 gift card as an example of one of the worst value redemptions, net cost of those cans is 17.95 or 47c each!

Just speak to your printer and make up same of your own "with compliments for a VALUED CLIENT labels"

Half the population would'nt know a good wine from a bad one and quite often it'sonly a matter of opinion anyway. For most people the Goodwill fact you gave them a gift far outweighs the cost

Good thing about being Greek and having a father that has one the best vegetable gardens in the world is no need to buy tinned tomatoes or sauce. ;) Mum makes enough to last a year.

I am sure you will think of something. Buy Macro crisps and donate them to the homeless shelters....

That's some nice upgrades or JASA's :D

I'm with you there shintaro10x. Most of my spending on WOW/BWS/Big W slips under the SWMBO radar - so long as I have her Pimms ready and there are stocks of the basics we use, she's relatively happy. She's even come to me recently when doing an online order (before lodging it) to ask which EDR card number should we put it on!
