EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I'm new to the Woolworths EDR promos but have been inspired by Joshua's effort.

Is my understanding correct that, firstly, you earn one QFF point for every $1 spent at Woolworths when the mimimum spend is $30? So, if I spend $30 I get 30 QFF points?

Second, these bonus offers for 100 points or 50 points, are they referring to 100 and 50 QFF points?

So, in the case of the cat food for $0.69, I would need to buy 44 packets to reach the $30 threshold (44 x 0.69 is $30.36) which would earn a total of 4,430.36 QFF points (100 x 44 units plus the 30.36)?

I've also been inspired by Joshua's efforts but would like some advice on whether I should get involved in this given my situation.

I don't like Qantas or Woolworths.

I have been concentrating on Velocity for the past 2 years and for a self-funded leisure flyer (15 - 20 flights per year) I've earnt good points through flying almost exclusively with VA and taking advantage of the random offers (credit card sign-on bonuses, double points in the global shop etc). If there was a similar offer to WOW with Coles and VA FF I would be all over it like a rash.

However, there are only so many ways to earn VA points without flying or spending lots of money.

This seems to be the only offer at the moment for any airline in Australia that has the possibility of SERIOUS points earn for very little money (the 100 points per Select offer for cat food means less than 1 cent per point).

I'm loathe to split my points between 2 rival airlines as it seems to dilute both but I read this thread every day as it seriously gaining my interest and I feel like Im missing out on some fantastic earning opportunities!

Anyone in a similar boat?

Just got the 100 points per Select product offer.

Woolies online show the select cat food at 69 cents per pack (down from 81). Do the stores and online share the same price structure?

I can see a trolley run in my future..

As per my post in the other thread, does the offer say it can be redeemed multiple times, as we have seen 100 pts for a select shop before but its been payable once - as in regardless of how many select products you buy in one or more receipts, you get 100 points only, so it could be single or multiple use!

can be redeemed multiple times during the offer period

We'll have to assume that the bonus is paid per product

If your offer says multiple times then its per product, point being there are also single use offers out there so it pays to check!

I've just checked my email for the umpteenth time and it definately say "can be redeemed multiple times"

I'm still a bit wary of buying a fifty packs of cat food on one docket and only getting a hundred points.

Damn the fact that there's no 24 hour Woolies! I'll have to make do with the midnight closing ones.

Just purchased some Select items in the hope of a trigger. Got flavoured packet rice, spaghetti and...... wait for it.......Taco seasoning! I had a little chuckle when I picked that up.

My recent Macro offer said the following

Things to note for your exclusive offer
bullet.gif

Bonus points offer applies to Everyday Rewards cardholder 7258 and can be redeemed multiple times during the offer period

BUT... I had 11 receipts for 16 macro items which resulted in 800 points only..chased them for a few weeks and managed to get another 300 points - I have also emailed them for an explanation as find the whole situation a bit confusing

I bought a handful of select items when I had this offer and all the points came through without any issues.

Same here, but with the macro offer, all points posted without having to chase them up, had multiple items on the one docket in all cases...

In any case, its probably best to hang onto receipts until points have posted, just to be safe.

That is good advice for everything...

It should "just work", but experience shows this often isn't the case.

Overnight I rec'd an EDR bonus email, no bonus points, but 10% off the price of a ladies hygiene product that I regularly buy.

I did a quick shop last night, only $39 (but it did include 1 serve of the famous taco seasoning :) ) so I wonder if that triggered this new offer.

Is it a new thing that mid-week offers are coming in?

I'm pretty sure I've had bonus point offer before on a Tuesday but this was the first % off the price offer I've rec'd

Got this one also. The items are on clearance I think. Also received an offer in the mail yesterday, 50% off Nerada Tea.

Just spent $40.85 of Select and Macro products (all needed), in the vain hope that it'll trigger a bonus offer.

I did crack a smile when I saw 6 cartons of Select cat food on the shelves, just waiting for an AFF'er:

The WOW 'Select' Cat and Dog food l gave to my friends, have had positive feedback. The pets love the products.

Another note, the Select Baked Beans are also tasty. I would rank it ahead of SPC Baked Beans.

Was at woolies yesterday, saw the lady at the checkout opposite me buying an entire conveyor belt of macro products. Made me wonder...

I felt slightly uncomfortable during my Macro targeted offer when I had ~30 macro items on the belt, seemed very strange activity since all items purchased were Macro branded...

I guess nobody cared, but it did look kind of strange I guess

Edit:

BTW, for anyone in Adelaide, discounted (5% off face value) WOW Wish cards are now available for purchase at RAA shop fronts throughout Adelaide with no credit surcharge for Visa & M/C.
