EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Some people had been activating additional offers by changing the numbers in the targeted activation links that EDR were sending each week.

As of this week I notice Woolies have fixed that little loophole. Instead of the offers being a nice sequential 23505, 23506, 23507 etc.

Now, they consist of a few more characters....E201206148_E210912MISSA_W

No more offers arrived at our household and I'm not impressed with the ones that came yesterday.

My friend got an offer for 150 points for $40 across various fresh food sections. I'll only be doing a small shop at WW this week and I'm considering swiping my friends temporary card on the purchase as it will have some fresh food in it. WW/EDR will think that no-one from our household has been shopping there and they might improve the offers for the following week.

Of course, this is just my opinion. Officially I have no idea how the targeting system works. It might give me more offers, it might give me less offers. I think I might take the risk.

Same offer as shintaro10x for me. 250 points for $30 spend at Woolworths and BWS. I should be taking that one up.

I don't know the fine print of either of these offers but my interpretation is that the two offers you have mentioned can be "stacked" the way you have proposed. I love stacking offers as well.

Mrs LW also got a 250 bonus pts for a $50 WOW spend online. Checking the WOW&BWS joint offer above, it can include online. Stacking time .

As far as I can tell, the "loophole" never worked in the first place. But others may have different results. If anyone did get it working but didn't put it on the forum for fear of the world finding out, PM me. I just want to know, tbh.

If this is the first bonus offer you have received I suggest you take it up. It shows you are interested in bonus offers. I don't know how targeting works but I think EDR look for patterns of what you are interested in. Good luck at getting better offers.

Agreed. I recently managed some new family members onto the EDR bonus trail, and because we 'missed' the emails of the first family member to join, we missed some pretty good offers, and we have since (April) not had any new ones (but no spending either on the account). For the second member, we took up some offers that fitted our family's spending pattern and that family member still gets offers. The third member is below 18 and never got any offers, interestingly?

wooo hoo. My son who has been establishing a shopping profile for a couple of weeks has a choice of 100 bonus points or 10c per litre off petrol when he spends $30 this week. His first bonus offer. I reckon he can make the 10c per litre off petrol worth more.
Things I have learned here:
-it did indeed take a couple of weeks of shopping to elicit the first exclusive offer. I feel like I have caught a fish. I guess the WW computer feels the same
-and there is no way I am letting the offer pass

I have had the same problem so I got on their everyday rewards site and whinged a couple of times, now the points are there every week . Coincidence maybe ?

Yes, I often experience failure to post bonus points even though the 'principal' points seem to be posted quite quickly. I've had to ring up several times, once being told by Everyday Rewards I had to ring Woolies online (the missing points were in relation to an online shopping incentive) only to be told, no, I had to ring Everyday Rewards. Three calls and wait times of around 8 mins each plus repeated conversations meant it was a very big investment for a mere 250 points!

Reading some of the posts in this thread and it would appear some people will only be happy if they receive 1,000 bonus points for $30 spend every week. It may be like that sometimes but that will be the exception not the rule.

No of course not JohnK!

For me, $5 offers for 50 points is far more attractive, purely because I don't do the shopping in our house (Dad/Mum do, and Dad has his own EDR card). As a consequence spending $30 at woolies is quite difficult...

I was kind of thinking a long a different track to most here - I was thinking if I left it for a week or two, they might up the offer a bit or something to lure me back. Seems the thinking here is to take it though - so I shall

I've been monitoring my points on everdayrewards.com.au to make sure theyre getting allocated, they normally credit to the QFF once a week. As far as I can tell they are pretty accurate. Key points are making sure you activate the offer (I do it twice) and meet the conditions of the offer, sometimes when the offer is complex we put those groceries into a separate basket and check them through to make sure the spending limit has been reached.

Yes take the offer ,get your 8cpl petrol voucher which you have converted to ffpoints (4pts/lt) and pay with your 5% discounted wishcard, not so bad now. Works here in vic anyway.

Is there some sort of condition attached to 8c off/litre? I have not seen one of them on any of the 4 accounts for a long time.

8c is standard at the moment for $30 spend.
