EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

If everyone starts to use the FEEDBACK tab on the RHS of the EDR offers and tell them we think the petol offers are rubbish and points are better they might listen. Most people never respond to those sorts of things so if there was a concerted response from a number of people saying the bonus points influence them to buy etc then you never just know.

I have done exactly that, explaining that I have a fuel card with another company so to send me fuel offers is pointless. As the offers are targeted, they *may* adjust my profile accordingly.

Sent from my iThing.
Why, because iCan.

I got a percentage off napolean perdis makeup offer. Can't remember the details it was that useful.

No offers so far but I have a 15c/lt petrol offer from last week which will net me about 400 plus points later today

No offers for the household overnight. Time to think carefully about where to shop this week and which cards to use.

So in the current EDR drought, I need to re-configure my "care-o-meter" to work out which offers are to be used and which ones are to be put in the trash... So what is the best bonus offer available this week...? Will be interesting to see what everybody thinks...?

I'll start... the best offer on the table here is for pure discount / no bonus points

Best Value Offer - 10% off total shop when spending $30 or greater (Single use)

Will be used with a wi$h card for the extra 5% discount, standard points only, but at least they are discounted I guess...

I haven't received an offer this week and if it's only going to be a fuel discount, I have to say that I'm not that disappointed.

Hi Shintaro10x. Are we trying to guess the best offer for us or for you from your offers? The 10% off sounds good but it's hard to work out your money benefit from the fuel vouchers when I don't know the size of your fuel tank or how many cents you manage to get off your QFF points.

If you decide to use the 10% discount, I'm wondering what the long term affect will be for the account which received this offer. If they offer you 10% for a $30 spend they may only expect this account to spend $50 per week. If you spend $200 on this account and get $20 discount then future offers for this account may be targeted over $100 rather than $30. It's a very difficult dilemma. If you don't mind how much is spent on each shopping trip for individual accounts then the 10% offer is definitely the best offer. I haven't taken the WI$H cards into consideration here. Your end saving would be higher than $20 in this case.

Congratulations on getting offers for your junior members. My junior members haven't had anything for months so I guess there is hope for them yet.

Who'd have thought that Apple's dismal failure to have basic accessories like adapters and cables available would have such an excellent side benefit. On a rare annual leave day I have been able to drive all around Melbourne in search of a Lightning to USB cable, guaranteeing that I will be able to maximise my 7.5x points Fuel offer before it expires. :p

Rainbowgirl, just putting it out there to what everyone thinks is a "pass mark" or "par" in regard to the coughpy offers being handed out these days. The fuel ones are OK, but they do require 2x the spend level

Example 1
Spend $100 to get a "bonus" $0.10 per litre saving, based on an Aussie Holden / Ford / Camry which will take an average of 65L if empty @ $1.40/l that's an additional $91 spend

Points earn't for example 1 : 70 QFF on the initial spend + 325 QFF for the fuel = 395 QFF (Total spend $191 for a lousy 395 QFF or $0.48 per 1 QFF )

Example 2 (A random offer in the past I received most weeks)
Spend $30 at any BWS and earn a bonus 300 QFF (Usually used for a bottle of JD @ ~$41)

Points earn't for example 2: ~11 QFF on the initial spend + 300 QFF for the Bonus points = 311 QFF (Total spend $41 for 325 QFF or $0.13 per 1 QFF which is much better :))

Pretty easy to see what's going on here, WOW clearly in trouble IMO and are now trying to keep "most" people happy with a minimal bonus and hoping that no one notices the value drop in points earning power with the EDR targeted bonuses...

Will be interesting to see how this pans out and if FlyBuys fall into the same trap...?

Personally I think WW has done too many (stupid) promotions and they are trying to rein in costs.

Hopefully the great sticker con will not be repeated this week.

May I ask, how are you guys getting points for petrol?? Through wish cards or something more simple? I just get my usual credit card spend points ....

LOL...we ALL learn so much here. Note I am not entirely sure that in the overall scheme of things that the WW malarkey is worth it but it sure is a bit of fun.
I wonder if some people have broken the system?
