thanks Shintaro... As expected i'm right in the midle of 4 ones that I pretty much knew about from about 3-6 km's away or a couple of suburbs away... Unless i make an effort to be going past them on the cheap day of the week (Wednesday) i reckon it will be more cost effective just to use the couple of Coles/Shell servo's that are all very close...

Slightly OT however I didn't think Woolworths Petrol outlets charged a CC fee...?

True, the Woolies/Caltex co-brand outlets don't, but very many of the ordinary Caltex branded do, at least in Perth they do.

I can't see how they stay in business with such practises in such a competitive market myself, but, there you are, presumably the common motorist doesn't pay attention or care (as opposed to the FF fiends we have here)

Lots of people pay with cash still or EFTPOS so no fees!

I thought EFTPOS was a reasonably standard 40c a pop? Direct charge by the bank though, so not from Caltex.

Do you reckon a large percentage of drivers still pay at the pump with cash? Its been many years since I've done this and I admit to not paying attention to what others are doing as I wait in line to pay.

I have NEVER had an alcohol offer... But then again I usually shop at Dan Murphy's. I think I'll use my EDR card next time in the liquor section and see if some offers start to flow.

I guess I am basing this on a few mins in the lines twice a week and it really depends on the demographics of the area...

EFTPOS is probably 40%, cash is 30% and the rest credit card

Watching grocery shoppers in Woolies, nearly everyone seems to pay with EFTPOS and get cash out!

After a four week drought I received three seperate email offers today.

Spend $30 or more in one transaction at BWS and receive 500 bonus points
Spend $200 over the week at Woolworths and receive 250 Bonus points
Spend $150 over the week at Big W and receive 400 bonus points.

Mrs Meggsy also got one today at the same email address to spend $30 or more over the week at Big W and receive 300 bonus points.

Feast or famine with these offers:shock:

Got some love for first time in a long while. Spend $30 at Big W for 300 pts.

Fairly easy to make use of that nearing Christmas ;)

Getting offers regularly but the offers are still nothing special.

This week's offer is 250 bonus points for spending >$200 this week at Woolworths.

Perhaps slightly OT, however Important reminder to all...

This weekend Save 15c p/l off petrol when you spend $100 or more at Woolworths in one transaction this weekend or for most of us here that will work out to 7.5 QFF/l.

I would highly suggest that those doing a "big" spend over $200 this weekend, make sure you ask the attendant to split the transaction once the $100 total is reached. This will harvest multiple vouchers loaded on your EDR account. A further bonus is that if you use each voucher for filling two standard vehicles you will nett around 900 QFF...!

Remember vouchers last one month so may as well get 2 for a $200 spend rather than just one... :D

Sorry may be a bit novice here but I only thought you only receive 2 QFF points per liter for fuel so does that change on larger discounts if you don't take the cash discount ie $0.15 per litre

If you chose to swap discount for points, the voucher redemption rate is half the voucher value

4c/l = 2 QFF/l (Maximum points earn based on 150L = 300 QFF)

8c/l = 4 QFF/l (Maximum points earn based on 150L = 600 QFF)

10c/l = 5 QFF/l (Maximum points earn based on 150L = 750 QFF)

12c/l = 6 QFF/l (Maximum points earn based on 150L = 900 QFF)

15c/l = 7.5 QFF/l (Maximum points earn based on 150L = 1,125 QFF)

20C/l = 10 QFF/l (Maximum points earn based on 150L = 1,500 QFF)

That's for that update as I said I am a bit of a novice I must have been confused as you don't get extra points from a in store purchase ie $0.04 per litre if you spend $5.00

My fuel tank is 'significantly' smaller (try 50L MAX).

What sort of "standard" vehicle have you got? I have a Holden Commodore and at 63 litres it is one of the larger tanks excluding 4 wheel drives. Most cars have a much smaller fuel tank.

I would not want to get too excited at the thought of filling up that tank once a week as that would cost close to $100/week to fill up.

I admire your enthusiasm though....

1 commodore + 1 Ford territory both have at least 70L tank plus tax deduction and no GST on the Ford

Can I ask how you became aware of this promotion? Targetted email?
