Stop spending at WOW etc, or get a second EDR card.

I think there is something in this. I RARELY shop at WOW; it's just not convenient. But I get a really juicy offer nearly every week. Now if we could only work out the optimum spend, then we would know how many EDR cards we need...

20c fuel offer for $200 spend....have Sunday - Monday to accomplish in one or as many shops as it takes.

I was pleasantly surprised to get 20cpl off when I refilled our car the other day. We only fill the tank once a month or so, so most of our EDR fuel vouchers don't get used, but the $5 discount was nice. I routinely activate offers when they come in, just in case I meet the criteria, but I don't tend to pay much attention to what the offers are. I suspect many of them are triggered by using my EDR-linked CC at Coles or IGA.

Why don't I get nice easy to achieve offers like this. Probably because EDR know that I shop regularly at BWS, my closest bottle shop, anyway.

Well I don't shop at BWS and have never received any nice offer like that on 2 cards.

Same for me. Now that my local Woolies Liquor is a BWS, maybe I should pop in and buy something...

I decided not to take up the Big W $5 off offer for spending $75. Some of the stock items I wanted to stock up on were not in stock so I couldn't stock up on them and it wasn't worth stocking up on other stock.

I ended up getting one item of clothing and scanned my partner's card, hoping to get an easy offer to take up on his card which would only require a spend of $30.

After a decent spend yesterday (with no offer), today I received an offer which would have netted me a 20c fuel discount. Pity it's a day too late.

This must be really frustrating. I hope you get an easy offer soon which you can use.

I'm lucky that I can usually organise my shopping so that I only ever do a large shopping trip when I have a decent offer. There are the occasional exceptions such as when I host a party or when we are on holidays, but still cook our own food. Most of the time I have had decent offers from either flybuys or EDR when it comes to party or holiday time.

I try to stockpile plenty of day to day items and frozen goods. I make a list of stock items which are not urgent and then get them when a decent general spend offer comes along. On weeks when there are no decent offers I spend as little as possible on the weekly groceries. During the "no offer" weeks I take up the best specials only, buy basic fresh food and then get most of the meals from our pantry and freezer.

This morning I saw 2 servo's near MEL around 145 cents. Yesterday 125.9 cents.

Melbourne petrol pricing has been very weird lately, it seems not all petrol stations are following each other now and raising/lowering prices at the same time!

Some stations are 124.9 and some were up at 147.9, there has never been a 23 cent gap before, usually 15 cents max!

No offers here any any of my accounts

Mum - tiered fuel discount offer of 16c fuel discount for $120-$159 spend and 20c fuel discount for $160 spend
Me - 20c fuel discount offer for $200 spend

Have more fuel discounts than I can use at the moment....

I wonder if this offer will be like the recent meat and deli offers that pop up every week for different members. Hopefully my partner's card will get this offer in a couple of weeks time.

I like the "rotational" offers. My family has made hundreds of points out of the recent round of meat promotions. If all the offers came in the same week we wouldn't have been able to use them, but they were spread out across a month, so we were able to take one up each week.
