....The only A4 paper offers up were honouring of Coles vouchers from the newspaper in WW....

I surrendered my Coles voucher at the Woolworths check out this morning to be told that I was in a Woolworths supermarket and not a Coles (didn’t I know :!:).
(So glad they told me that or I would have turned left out of the car park and not right.)

I explained that I’d just heard an ad on the radio, so the operator scanned the coupon’s bar code. That didn’t work so, no, I wasn’t entitled to any discount.:oops:

Saturday morning; week before Christmas; queue behind me – already embarrassed but do I shut up or stand my ground. I’m not hard up for the 15 bucks but it was the principle of it so I stood my ground.

I apologised to the shoppers behind me and then asked for the supervisor – oops – that was him. But he offered the manager who came along, punched a few keys into the till, took my $15 off and then walked away. No apology or even eye contact with me.

Then, when I got home, I realised my fly had been undone the whole time.:oops::oops:

Still no email for me, so itll be interesting to see if I get the bonus points. Pity our shop was smaller than usual today too!

Just went and did a big shop. Stocking up on all the Cleaning stuff one requires.

One thing of note that has always annoyed me is the 2 separate transactions for Supermarket and Liquor, so today I took matters into my own hands, Walked into the liquor store, got what I wanted and walked back into the supermarket. Then when I finished shopping, I paid for it all at the supermarket checkout. She scanned my "social lubricant" with out saying a word! Happy!

Happy!

I'm doing the big shop tomorrow, time to stock up for Christmas/New Year/ Chinese New Year/Australia Day and any other celebration I can think of that requires non-perishable goods and cleaning gear ;)

They have systems for that.

Do you shopping in one part of the store. Tell the check-out-chick/guy to put the purchase on hold. They'll do that and give you a docket - your purchases stay at the register.

Proceed across to the other part of the store and select your stuff. Head to the check-out and present your docket; they will pull up your other purchase, you pay for it all there.

Then had back to the original check-out with your new docket, show them you've paid, collect your goods and off you go ...

It's easier than it seems from that recap - trust me .. (the 30 points is worth it to many ...)

Sounds like the manager isn't doing a great job there.

I applaud you for standing your ground, it's not your fault that they were not that well prepared for the offer approved by "head office", my local store did a fine job and the OP knew exactly what was going on...

Again, well done for standing your ground... it's only $15 as you say, but its $15 closer to your next J ticket

Only 1 out of 4 accounts received this offer and it was at 2:15pm yesterday, Saturday, the 17/12/2011.

Sure it is valid until 19/12/2011 but useless considering all the shopping had been completed the day before covering most of the shopping for Christmas.

Just noticed that our Woolies has signs up about buy 2 cases of selected beers and get 30cents off per litre. Seems to be a catalogue special. This is in Adelaide.

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

Saw the same ad in Melbourne so I'd say its available everywhere...

30 cents off
WTF?
That's huge!!!
Get it while you can.

Grab this while you can, wait until fuel is at the bottom of its price cycle, and use the voucher for points not discount on two cars for maximum QFF point booty...

put me down for yet another 130L @ 15pts/L = 1950 QFF

Just back from a $500+ shop including two cases of beer.

So that is a nice 1600 Amex MR points (via Amex Edge card) + 2600 QFF points (Everday)+ one 30 cent per litre fuel voucher (will use once BP Promo finishes).

I would normally struggle to spend that much, but we are hosting Xmas Lunch net week and so that greatly increased the normally weekly shop items that I need.
