EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Private label stuff is not something I support. I had trouble in Woolies with nuts and cheese.
I still support our IGA store which is local and really good. If they close we will be left with two and a bit retailers in our area but being a points cough I can get lured to buy at Woolies.

They even pick names which are similar to famous trademarks...

+ labelling + colours and then remove/reduce the competition from the shelves.

These companies may very well end up being worse corporate citizens than cancer stick and fast fat makers!

May very well end up? Me tinks in many ways they are already there - we have already been screwed over by the big C - we developed some specific products at their request - they ranged them for 7 years - then dropped us like a hot spud to replace our products with identical home branded products - and I suspect the big W are embarking on an identical course right now - such is life.

Funny that - same thing here but the other way round.....Wow, we'd just love to steal your IP and drop you like a school bag. As you say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.....and the IP ambulance chasers richer!

We received 4 Big W offers for the household.

Spend $20 for 250 points
Spend $50 for 250 points
Spend $50 for 300 points
Spend $80 for 300 points

All general spend offers with a few exclusions. We have a couple of birthdays coming up plus most of the Christmas presents to buy so we will probably take up the first three offers.

We took up the first three offers today. It was a pain doing it at the self serve, but it was the easiest way to make 3 small transactions in one shopping trip. I got the birthday presents I wanted and plenty of Christmas gifts. The transaction totals were $20, $50 and $50.44. Has anyone else taken up several offers like this at one time with separate cards and gotten the totals to match the exact target spends?

Just received a BWS offer:

Spend $70 for 350 bonus points
Spend $100 for 500 bonus points

Would be great if they have 30% off for 6 bottles of wine too!

I'm totally new to EDR, only got my card on Friday...But how often to these bonus point promotions show up? Is it a weekly thing? Or random?

I got a spend $50 at Woolworths and get 200 bonus points offer. I've used it a couple of times so far.

They also sent me a $25 gift card for Cellarmasters that must be spent on wine...When my profile clearly specifies "no alcohol offers" because I don't drink. Gave it to someone else who could use it, but still wasn't especially impressed I was sent it in the first place.

Have you checked the wording on your "spend $50 at Woolworths" offer. I am guessing that it says, "can be redeemed once". They are probably trying to figure out your usual spending pattern and will send future offers based on your average spend or possibly your highest level spend. It does vary from time to time. They want to get an idea of the types of products you buy in order to send offers targeting a specific product group.

I don't know the background to the Cellarmasters offer. I have the no alcohol offers option ticked as well but a few odd offers slip buy occasionally like the Cellarmasters and Dan Murphy promotions.

Welcome to the points collecting game with Everyday Rewards. Good luck. I hope you have fun. My trick is only spending just what I need at Woolworths and spending the rest elsewhere. I also have every member of the household signed up to Everyday Rewards in order to get the most targeted offers and keep the spending targets low in the offers.

The targeted offers don't come all the time. Sometimes it's just a matter of luck. If I get 1-2 offers a month per account then I'm fairly happy.

EDIT: You mentioned something about giving the Cellarmasters offer to someone else. Please check the wording of the offer. Targeted offers are member/cardnumber specific. If you do decide to become a multi account household be extremely careful to use the right card for the right offer.

$70 for 350 QFF
$100 for 500 QFF

Might be handy with those Wish cards I purchased over the weekend... but then again...Pass

BWS $35 for 300, $25 for 200 here

Got 250 for $20 two weeks ago, they then upped me to a $50 level - pass. This is the response. To do or not to do? I think there was a good deal on football hooligan cans of beer.

Thanks for the detailed information. It will hopefully help me get more out of the program!

I normally do most of my grocery shopping at Woolworths anyway as it's closest to home, which is why I finally decided to get the EDR card. I don't shop at Big W or Cellarmasters, so I'm really just collecting points from Woolies. And since I live by myself, there's not really any mixups to be had with cards in my household :)

The Cellarmasters thing was an actual physical gift card, seemingly untied to my EDR card. I just gave the Cellarmasters card to a friend and told them to use it.

I only seem to get targeted spend promos when there is a general spend promo, given Myer gift cards count in the general and not the targeted its an easy choice!
