And how often are you going to Singapore for the points?

We shop between $150-$200 every week. I would prefer simpler offers but this one is achievable depending on what we need this week.

Is it that low though? Even with the sale and exchange rate I couldn't find anything less than ~$550 return...

BRL1011 when I looked yesterday.

Even at $799 it is interesting, an NB earns over 7000 points.

Since we became 'empty nesters' it's hard to spend $200 weekly on on groceries on a regular basis - and it won't be happening this week.

Got another spend $200 and get 1,000 QF points ... Again, yep I'll take that.
Plus the WWERMC has a double points offer for 2 weeks (no activation required).
If I stack them that is a nice earner.

The Last $200 spend for 1k points 2 wks back meant I spent $200.87 ... We left a few items behind once we got the magic $200 spend as I knew another offer at WW or Coles would come along. The 1k QF points posted on Thursday. (Last wks Coles offer was spend $190 for $20 back. Spent $191.14)

Love these offers when used right they equal no extra real spending ... Just shuffling between the retailers and planning the weeks needs.
Yes I know we are ultimately getting scr3wed by them, but at least it is done with a smile.

Same, but only 2 of 5 accounts so far...

Terrified to discover today that I actually got my shopping, then topped up with a gift card, swiped my EDR then got very annoyed when it gave me an extra discount that put me back to $118.90 so had to jump in and get the closet $2 bag of chips to get me over the $120. What has become of me?!?

Well done for grabbing something to get you over the total. When I am going for a specific target at Woolworths I get the checkout operator to scan my EDR card early in the transaction. In this way, the discounts come off just after the relevant products are scanned so the total at the end is the correct payment amount.

We also have a back-up plan of things we'd stick in the pantry that we actually will consume in the next 14 days if we find we are short on our trolley estimate.
Usually it is tinned Tuna or Soda / Tonic water ... but again must always be on promo as well i.e will not pay full price for something to get the 'bonus' points.
That way we know what is needed to get us over the line on a product we will actually eat / consume.

It has become a sport where I just want to get over the line for the promo offer for the absolute minimum dollar spend.

Well done for being able to get so close to the target price. I can do this easily with my $50 or so shops at Coles to get the target offers but going for exactly $80 or $100 at Woolworths is actually quite difficult and I've been known to spend a couple of minutes with a calculator before going to the checkout. I also have "just in case" items with me all the time. These are items that don't change in price and are for small amounts such as just over or just under $1. Some of the checkout operators know that I'm always going to have items for them to send back to stock.

So close but yet so far.

My parents shopped the other day and called a halt to the shopping experience at ~$24 short of 1,000 bonus points. :( Oh well, can't win them all.
