EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Just went shopping for dinner tonight and triggered enough spend ($45) hopefully to stand me in good stead for a decent offer tomorrow morning.

Is that how it works now?

Overnight, I received a targeted bonus points offer, to shop in a brand new BWS store that is about 10km from where I live.
It's a little odd, but I think the 250 points will be worth it

Today I drove a 20km round trip to collect these 250 points. There was no minimum spend so I contemplated a $5 clean skin, but splurged on a $10 Wolf Blass on special. Was it worth it? Probably not financially, and the 8 points I earnt for the 2L petrol burnt (4 pts/L from 8cpl voicher) don't help much! MrsDeKa was happy to go for the drive though

you could have purchased 2 x Macro Gluten Free Chips Cheese Twists 90g for a total of $2.80 for a quick 250 QFF

Well there you go! Learn something new everyday. I looked at the list of products on the email and thought there were potato chips on the list but when I got to the store I looked in the aisle and could not see the products. Next time I know exactly which product I need!

Looks like they are testing the break point on the spend. Smart marketing but for the non-increasing amount of bonus points it loses its lustre.

Easier to buy those items with bonus points attached and reap more for a lesser spend (as long as we buy those items we actually need).

Time to see my family offers this week. Have no alcohol spend requirements after the beer and wine offer in successive weeks'.

I shopped once before Christmas at Big W ( a little out of the way) and the only offers I have had since is for Big W.

I shop at Woolies every week and again nothing from them. I have been cutting down my spend there hoping to get an offer but this method has not been successful as yet. And today I need to do a big shop.
