EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Is it only me or does it frustrate/annoy/confuse others the way WoW mix emails for EDR offers up.

Latest example:

Offers of get $X back on $ZX spend for 3 weeks starting 28 May (received early this wk)

Then several days later, spend $XZ and get 250/500 points from 21 to 24 May.

I may be a cynic but I suspect it is done on purpose to trick/confuse and get people spending on the much less valuable offer which then causes issues/upset if you don't notice the dates and no instant discount happens at the register.

A Lose/Lose outcome IMHO.

I think some members are going to get very confused with the dates. I'm still haven't worked out the best strategy for using the offers our family received but I've got some time to figure things out before it all starts. I'm planning on using the 3 $10 off spends but won't be able to use that account for anything afterwards as the targets on it will be too high later.

I had not had an offer in weeks so I finally got spend $120 for 500 points.
So I thought go for it I need to stock some shelves.
So i usually roughly add up products as I shop the isles, but ran into too many friends out shopping as well.
Well my count must have gone haywire and I ended up spending $169.
I had only received the spend $120 get 500 points usually they offer the higher spend as well ($160/750).
Just my luck, so now my next offer "if it comes" will be for a higher spend.
Only bonus was hubby was home to help unpack so I could start dinner!

I'm the same, ellen10, I had $75/500 and ended up spending $147.00. I plan to shop at Coles until they get the hint I'm not spending big dollars on a regular basis!

Also, I used the above at WW on Friday (in the middle of the date range) and I went on EDR site and only regular points have been credited, not bonus points. Do they get credited separately or do I need to ring EDR to get it fixed?

The bonus points are usually credited by 7 days after the end of the promotion period. I'm guessing the end promotion date was Sunday 24 May so the bonus points should be there by Sunday 31 May.

Mrs QF WP got similar offers to others here:

In our situation it works well - after M-i-L stayed at our place over the weekend and depleted our stores (come to think of it, probably would have been worse had children also been there but they had a long 5 night stay at my parents).

I need some food for work lunch and chocolates for staff mid afternoon snacks with cuppa. Will easily fill $75 and try not to exceed by too much

Now off to chase my triple points that didn't post to my account from Week 6 shopping "voucher book". Standard points showed up on 29 April (457 from $487 shop) however the 914 to satisfy the triple offer I had are missing.

Edit: Got onto the call centre, discussed and agreed the issue with operator - who then promptly hung up on me (or put me on mute and the call then dropped out after 2 mins). He'd better credit those 914 points like he said - will follow up in 72 hours

Hmm, i really need to keep track of my spend a bit better! Make sure I am getting the points! I got a bunch of double/triple rewrds the last couple of weeks.

And i finally got my bonus offer - $160 for 750pts.

$160 is a stretch for me/us to spend, which they know. But i accepted and will try when I go tomorrow for a big shop.

Yes as others have said it usually takes a weeks for the bonus points to post and sometimes you have almost forgotten about it. And then if it doesn't post you have had to keep your docket to chase them up.

I bought a $200 Myer giftcard at the weekend to trigger a bonus point offer (and was buying some things in Myer). The till receipt showed 170 points so am optimistic they will post and the other 750 will come along in due course

True to his word (the EDR CSA), my points have shown up in my EDR account, now to wait for them to transfer to my QFF account.

I've had to chase up a couple of lots of bonus points lately. I tried using the contact us email system. I got an acknowledgement email but no response at all afterwards even after one week, even though they said the matter would be resolved in 48 hours. I ended up using the live chat function to get the points. They were from the week 5 coupon worth 300 points. I think EDR needs a better system of recording on the receipt whether a coupon has been scanned or not.

Completely agree rainbowgirl. Seems their systems aren't as robust as we would like and expect them to be. Wonder how many people don't chase the points and therefore Woolies win by not paying out the points.

I have done the same in the past and bonus points have always posted although they may take up to two weeks to do so.

I received an offer, first for what seems like ages, on my most active account. Spend $30 between June 1 - 4 for 250 points. Much better value than previous offers so will probably give it a go as one of the family OPAL cards needs a top-up.

Same offer, but no good to me as we went shopping today.
