EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Just rang EDR CS and enquired about my missing points from my Dick Smith purchase ($308) on 14/2/12. Gave the details (store, receipt number and amount) and she rang it through; then came back to tell me it should post within 72 hours. She commented that the important part of the receipt is the dash in the middle - I thought that was unusual at the time; but on reflection perhaps is their way of differentiating between EDR purchases and non-EDR purchases...

I wish that when you have an offer with no minimum spend that the EDR card number would show up on the receipt, otherwise there is no proof that it was swiped...I had sent my wife out with my daughters card and as there was no EDR card number, I almost had a go at her for not swiping the card.

The things we do cove in our pursuit of points. Asked the Q on EDR's FB site, look forward to the answer.

Spoke to my mother yesterday about her EDR, she asked "what bonus points". Tine to show her how to get on the gravy train

No Wednesday offers for me but I'm hoping for a toys offer at Big W offer next Monday. My children have a couple of birthday parties soon.

I agree with you Lindsay about having the EDR number on every receipt regardless of spend amount. I hope you get a good answer on facebook. If there is a problem with the bonus points and you need to chase them up with the call center, ask to be put through to a supervisor. The supervisors are able to look up every receipt regardless of the total. All you need to give them is the date and the card number which was used.

Lindsay, on the bottom of all of my receipts it says that I have had x amount of cents per litre discount added to my EDR card #xx_XX. That does not print if you have not swiped a card and is your proof if a claim needs to be made later. I would like to think that would be standard on any/all woolies stores receipts but who knows these days.

Okay, I didn't know about the petrol receipts. I am speaking about Woolworths receipts. I had a problem recently with bonus points earned for a shopping trip under $30. I am hoping this applies to Big W and the other shops but I guess I can't be certain now.

That only happens if you go over the minimum spend. The issue is for spend less than $30 the card number is not on the receipt even if it has been swiped. Fuel vouchers are not given in this situation but points might be earned. Hence it is important to know if the card has been swiped.

If you scan your EDR card for a transaction less than $30 it is still captured, and your transaction is feed into the big machine.

But there is nothing printed on the reciept until you generate a fuel voucher.

Right you are. I had not considered that scenario.

Time to buy a new playstation game with an offer of 250 points on games and DVDs.

Strange that BWS can load the EDR card number on purchases for less than $30; but Woolies can't.

My daughter just bought a bag of Grainwaves for $4.75 and I got the receipt with her EDR card number printed on it.

Get your systems talking to each other, or on the same platform Woolies :(

To use the BWS tag line "too easy" ;) as that was an easy 300 points for me and 100 points for my daughter

This is indeed the case.

I had an offer for 150/200/300 QFF for "spend or more" than $100/$125/$150.

I had three transactions, each one where I swiped the card, two were for $15 and $5 with no indication I had swiped the card on the receipt. The other was for $140 and it had the fuel indication as posted.

In any case, the sub $30 transactions were recorded even though there was no indication on the receipt as the 300 points showed up a week later.

Re: Qantas FF and Woolworths create new loyalty alliance

I got my 500 points for any spend at BWS/BigW & Woolies two weeks ago, I spent a total of $21 across the three stores.

Re: Qantas FF and Woolworths create new loyalty alliance

Ok, here is my effort for today (Wednesday)

  • $180 spend at Woolworths supermarkets (Triple QFF Offer for spend over $30) = 450 QFF + 2X points per $ spent using EDRCC = 360 QFF... Total QFF earn 810 or $0.222 per point for regular weekly spend.
  • $32.99 Spend at BWS = 2 Standard QFF + 300 Bonus QFF + 2X points per $ Spent using EDRCC = 65 QFF... Total QFF earn 367 or $0.089 per point
  • $92 spend at Woolworths Petrol (65L converted @ 2 points per litre) = 130 QFF + 2X points per $ Spent using EDRCC = 184 QFF... Total QFF earn 314 or $0.293 per point

Total QFF earn for the day = 1491

Happy days LW...!

As they would be for you shintaro10x, quite a haul for you. Mine, as usual, pales into insignificance:

Daughter - $14 spent for 100 bonus points and 15 points through Amex
Me - $74 spent for 300 bonus points as well as 44 from EDR and 111 from Amex

So a total points haul of 570 from a spend of $86. That's $0.15 per point - nowhere near as good as yours :(

Now need to work on my wife - surely she can spend $30 at Big W in the next 10 days for 250 bonus points. Interesting that she gets two weeks to collect, or maybe I can take her card and do the spending :D

Even if I score bonus with min spend (on CC), that's only 295 points for a $30 spend.

Took my wife's card shopping today, spent $40 in Big W to collect 250 bonus + 10 for < $30 and 60 through CC.

Then went to Woolies to buy some urgent things + dinner and put on my sons EDR card, to see if we can't trigger his first offer in the next couple of weeks. $65 means 35 EDR points and 97 CC points.

Haven't checked the EDR accounts yet, to see if the Friday bonus points have posted.
