EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I assume that's a regular emailed offer valid for the week starting the 20th?

Strange logic / marketing from EDR. Why print presumably thousands of individually named booklets, post them out, allow the recipients to manage their spends to take full advantage of the offers, yet send other people the regular email offers (exactly the same as the booklet) ?

Not necessarily. I got the same offer only valid for Friday-Sunday. And there's no way that I'll spend $120. If I stretched and stocked up on a large amount of stuff I might spend $80, but not $120.

Went to woollies today and spent $36 to get the $10 off. EDR card scanned but no discount. A supervisor had to be called and she mentioned that there are some problems with this offer so keep an eye out. She offered me the choice of being sent a $10 voucher or manually applying the discount. I took the discount.

Got me to thinking though, how many times can I use this offer during the promo period?

In addition to Spend $30 for $10 discount wife just received: Spend $120 for 500 points / spend $160 for 750 points. As both offers have been activated, I expect we have to spend $130 or $170 to achieve the second offer.

Today spent $179+, didn't receive $10 off.

Happened to me as well. Checkout chick had no clue so I said cancel the transaction. Then combined my shop with my Mum's to get bonus points and I bought the paper as our transaction was over $100, to get $10 off.

Same problem for me - but wasn't offered the manual discount!
Phoned Woolies and fixed up pretty quickly over the phone - $10 gift card on its way

Step Mum received a spend $275 this week to receive 1000 bonus points - what a ridiculous targeted promotion as Step Mum has only hit $200+ in a single shop once over the last 3 months... marketing team are dreaming with this offer :p

But that's surely the whole point of promos, to get you to do something you wouldn't normally do!

An inexpensive way to earn 2000+ points for 2 cartons, and if you use a $20 discount card (several on offer on this site - free) even better value. Mind you I'm not sure if the wine is any better than cask wine in a bottle.
Happy to hear your comments.

Edit to add: You do not get 1,000 points per case.

Depends on the T&C's. You might be only be able to get a lot of 1000 bonus per order, so probably only 1000 points if you order 2 cases.

Just did a dummy order and you don't get 2k points by buying 2 times the $69 offer but you do get 3k if you combine the 2k and 1k offer.

Wine offer (needs $16 shipping for me) plus
offer of 150 points for $5 on everyday essentials. Mrs WF never has enough TP so will see what's on sale.

That's:
garbage bags, kitchen tidy bags, toilet tissue, facial tissues, hygienic toilet wipes, paper towel, plastic food wrap, baking paper, aluminium foil, foil trays, oven bags, sandwich bags and freezer bags.

Happy wandering

Fred

Just about to edit my post. You are correct, only 1,134 points.
Ordered by a work colleague, gave him my $20 voucher which did work.
All in all he is happy with 2 doz bottles of wine for under $140 delivered. Dare I call it wine?

My booklet offers this week are 1000 points for $200 spend and 15% off for $25 on 'health and wellness'. The little lady also told me we still have a $20 Easter gift card we still haven't used. Going to try and use all 3 'offers' this week ;)

Doubt we're going to use our vouchers this week (off to ASP & AYQ from Friday until Monday night), so may have to console myself for looking at next weeks. What happens if we do an online order this week for delivery next week?? Might have to dissuade Mrs QF WP from doing that in case we get nothing...

Heads up , some family members received 'save $10 when you spend $30' , bought wish cards & got the $10 off :)

Another 2 accounts got this offer. No BWS offers for nearly 2 weeks. No Big W bonus offers for who knows how many months?

2 of my family members received this offer, came through today (Wednesday) at 1500 !

I'd prefer points but $10 off, when combined with items on sale is always appreciated!

By my memory it was January this year when Big W last offered bonus points. Way too long a gap if you ask me.
