Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

Oh ok. I wonder how much that will set me back or just park on the street if there are any available.

$15 a day, didn't see any unrestricted street parking in the vicinity

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

You won't find any free street parking nearby

$15 a day is OK value!

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

Thanks. If I had to head to sea world and movie world are there any free car parks around?? And broad beach. Those are the only areas I'm going to.

Not sure about Broadbeach but all the theme parks have gargantuan free parking areas as they skin you alive in Entry Ticket prices ;)

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

Thanks for that. I guess I have no choice to pay the $15/day fee if I was to get a rental car...

The $15 fee may be the least of your worries. Surfers is at the moment (as per normal) in the grip of road chaos with the installation of the light rail. The entry into the Hilton is.....well.......chaotic!

BTW. All of the Gold Coast has 2 hour regulated parking......even the 'burbs. Generally, the GCCC leaves the suburbs alone, however they can book any on-street wayward parker. In Surfers, you have little chance of getting free parking (although I regularly see the Wizbangs parked along the beachfront) and fines can be steep. Having said that, my kids have been known to park all night without fine in Budds Beach or Chevron Island (both a 10-15 minute walk from HSP). As for me......I just pay the fifteen bucks (but not the valet park $30......that's a rip off.....the basement park is accessed off Orchid Boulevard right next to the revolving door)!

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

They are over $3k a night so I would think it would be unlikely!!

They've gone up! I was quoted $2200. I've also inspected one of them and the term "nothing flash" springs to mind. Given a three bedder retails around the $600 mark, in my mind that makes the four bedder worth about $800 - $1000 and to be honest, that's too high (of course this is all IMHO).

I can think of other places for $1000.nite I'd prefer.

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

Currently $3399 / night on Wotif for the next few weeks (school hol's)!

Standard 4 bed is ~$1,500

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

Thanks. Is it bad to visit Gold Coast in the last couple of days of school holidays? I.e oct 5th to 9th?

That's a new one on me. Are there "standard" 4 bedders and sub-penthouse 4 bedders? Or are you saying the units are the same but the price (due to season) is different?

This year, Qld and NSW school holidays coincide and the week you suggest also includes Vic school holidays. That'll mean crowds and top dollar prices.

Yep... I'll be down there for 3 nights & staying in a 2 bed.

I haven't stayed in them but it is priced at 4 bedroom for ~$1,500 and 4 bedroom sub-penthouse for $3399 / night

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

Hi,

thx. Surprisingly when I look its only :$169 a night.... At that time.

For a two bedroom residence, that's a pretty good price. Can you report back how you go with lounge access as a gold in the residences please? I'd be interested to know as well!

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

Sorry that's for a non residence...

Ah, my mistake. Still not a bad price for the hotel at that time. IIRC the cheapest I've ever managed to score there has been circa $130.

Re: HH Gold lounge access for Hilton Surfers Residences?

I'm thinking whether to go there early oct for 5 nights and probably 3 out of the 5 nights will be school holidays although the rooms are cheaper at $169 or pay $200+ for a non school holiday period. Also not sure why early sept is so expensive ?? Anything happening in GC that time ??
