Emirates Delays/Cancellations

Tuesday 24 September's EK408 (A388 A6-EUW) is the 0240 hours DXB down to MEL that was airborne at 0323 hours (yuk!) Arrival at gate should be approximately 2240 hours late tonight, 50 late.

The to be discontinued EK404, the 1025 hours midmorning SIN down to MEL pointed skywards at 1108 hours. Gate arrival at 2013 hours, 38 late for B773ER A6-ENG is the likely scenario.

In more on Tuesday 24, EK434, the 1035 hours morning DXB down to BNE was in the sky at 1139 hours. A388 A6-EOG should arrive at gate on Wednesday 25's early morning at 0716 hours, 51 late.

EK408, the 0240 hours DXB down to MEL took off at 0332 hours on Thursday 26 September. A6-EVD (A388) should arrive at about 2240 hours later this evening, 50 minutes behind the timetable.

Saturday 28 September's EK408 (A388 A6-EVR, the 0240 hours DXB-MEL) was airborne at 0332 so arrival should be at 22227 hours, 37 minutes behind schedule.

A388 A6-EVR on EK412, the 1015 hours midmorning DXB-SYD on Wednesday 2 October was in the sky at 1407 hours. SYD arrival on Thursday 3 became 0909 hours, 184 minutes late. The second sector to CHC is timetabled for a 0750 hours departure but this is optimistically suggested as becoming 1030: 1045 or later is more likely. The timetable allows for a stay of four hours and 50 minutes at CHC so hopefully the return CHC-SYD-DXB EK413 will be punctual.

Thursday 3 October sees A388 A6-EUG on EK430, the 0230 hours DXB down to BNE not pointing skywards until 0436 hours. A very late night 2329 hours gate arrival is on the cards, 69 minutes late.

EK404 on Friday 4 October has had to hold approaching MEL from DXB, so arrival for B773ER A6-ENS should be at 2006 hours, 31 late.

A388 A6-EOE on EK416, the Sunday 6 October's 2130 hours from DOH to SYD pointed skywards at 2241 hours. Monday 7 early evening arrival should be at around 1919 hours, 59 minutes tardy. This aircraft usually forms EK417, the 2110 hours back to Dubai so it's likely to be at least slightly late in pushing back tonight mid evening.

UK404 (Wednesday 9 October, the 1025 hours midmorning SIN-MEL) was airborne at 1225 hours. B773 A6-EPD should arrive at 2206 hours, 91 minutes late.

The 0245 hours EK420 from DXB down to PER took off at 0344 hours. Gate arrival for A380 A6-EOM should be at about 1808 hours, 33 minutes behind schedule.

The DXB-BNE EK 430 has a6-EOG, another A380. This 0230 hours ex DXB scheduled flight was in the sky at 0337 hours, so arrival tonight looks like 2303 hours, 43 minutes behind schedule.

On Thursday 10 October, EK420 (0245 hours DXB down to PER in the sky at 0328 hours) should arrive at 1813 hours, 38 late with A380 A6-EOL.

The 1025 hours SIN-MEL EK404 (B773ER A6-EGD) took off at 1113 hours on Saturday 12 October. Arrival at gate looks to be about 2106 hours mid evening, 36 late.

A388 A6-EEU on EK416, the Saturday 12 October 2130 hours DXB down to SYD was airborne at 2246 hours. Sunday 13 arrival should be about 1922 hours, 62 minutes tardy.

Due to the storms in SYD tonight, EK413 from CHC has diverted to BNE. EK413 from SYD-DXB will be delayed with no chance of departing tonight.
If the crew hasn't timed out, wonder if they'll make BNE-SYD tonight like QTR.

EK Site has it filed, with an arrival post-curfew... 1731837758880.png

Looks like the incoming EK414 will indeed do the outbound EK413 (EK414 landed at gate 10 with EK413 also departing out of gate 10).

Interestingly, Emirates website has EK413 departing SYD at 23:45 doing a diversion and arriving into MEL at 1:10 with a 2:55 departure out to DXB. Must be short fueling in SYD to save time and doing the long refuel for the long slog back to DXB.

Quick thinking on the EK team's part - pretty impressive they also got dispensation for a 2345 departure.

They also probably have spare resourcing in MEL with the EK405 MEL-SIN departing at 0305.

Indeed, it would've been more impressive had they managed to go via BNE instead and pick up the CHC originating passengers on EK413 who had divert there. Although some of them may have been accomodated on the EK435 service out of BNE.

Good to see the authorities using common sense and granting dispensation for this weather related delays.
