Emirates (EK) Chauffer Service

Guys if I am flying DXB-MEL in EK in F using points but booked as DXB-PER in F then PER-MEL in J will I get the chauffer service to take me home from the airport in MEL ?

F or J, points or cash, you get Chauffeur service both ends. You should under "manage booking" see the option to load up your address for the Chauffeur service at either or both ends of your flight.

Can anyone offer an explanation - my parents-in-law are travelling WAW DXB SYD on EK and SYD SIN on QF on an EK codeshare flight number then SIN DXB WAW on EK. Chauffeur provided for all but the SYD SIN sector - EK says QF won't provide the chauffeur (understandable given it is not a QF flight number) but why won't EK? All EK have said is that the flight number is exempt?? I'm prepared to call them again but thought I'd stop by the forum first just in case someone has had a similar experience.

Are they using the length of flight argument for the QF flight?

They are stopping over in SIN - EK chauffeur ok from hotel back to SIN airport but EK say they are not entitled to a chauffeur from accom in SYD or from SIN to hotel and have blamed this on QF. This just doesn't make sense as EK provides chauffeurs in SYD for their passengers.

QF and EK are different airlines, so they have different criteria for eligibility.

Many thanks mannej - I did look at the first part of the t&c but not the cities serviced and SIN is clearly not there. SYD SIN is still a pretty integral route for QF, seems mean not to provide the service there but to not provide one to at least SYD airport makes it look more like a half service airline rather than a full service one.

Half service airline? You must be kidding right... I would hazard a guess those airlines providing transfers would be in the minority.

You are absolutely right there, neither SQ or MH provide chauffeur service. I just think it is odd that QF won't provide a chauffeur to the airport for their paying J passengers from one of their 'home' ports.

It would seem they are looking after their flagship routes.
The SIN services are getting what other ports have had for years...

We had an interesting experience when arriving in PER from DXB on and EK flight. Mr BB and I were ticketed separately, so only I booked the chauffeur drive. No-one phoned me to check any details, and when we approached the driver with my name placard, he was quite shocked there were two of us (but of course there had been no way online or otherwise to let them know of this).

The driver actually went on a bit about how many qualifying passengers are trying to include non-qualifying ones into the journey, and that "wasn't on". Whether that was his policy, or that of the company he is contracted to, I'm not sure. His demeanour was certainly the least professional I have had to deal with of any other driver, but we got home in comfort so all's good.

Oh, and by the way, all the vehicles I have ever been collected in, have been black (or perhaps a dark grey/silver) and have had four wheels and been very comfortable :D

Same thing happened to me mate. In Per as well.

Doing EK HKG/DXB then two weeks later VIE/DXB in J with Mrs Lime, do we have to be travelling a certain No. of hours or stopover to get the chauffeur service?.

I'm not sure I understood you correctly.

Assuming you're on a J/F EK ticket, you will get chauffer service for the DXB stopover (from / to airport).

Same deal applies at the other end (VIE): limo from / to airport

I didn't follow the question "certain number of hours..."

Leg room, I thought one had to have a flight of 12hours or more to get the service.

Qantas site says: Currently available on flights between Australia and London, Dubai, Los Angeles and Dallas, Chauffeur Drive will be extended to more international flights greater than 12 hours long in 2014.View the terms and conditions or mileage and baggage limits of Chauffeur Drive.

Not sure what the deal is with EK.

AMS - DXB - some 6-7 hrs flight for me and +1 (J)

No problem with QF codeshare EK metal

AFAIK, all EK J/F tickets come with that chauffeur service.

Is there any way of letting Emirates know you will have 2 passengers for one car (SIN-MEL)? Both of us are eligible for the chauffeur drive, but it seems crazy to book 2 separate cars to the same destination. We will also have 3 suitcases - 2 medium and one small - will this be a problem?

Thanks.

No need to

I certainly did not advise them of the extra pax.

A limo just arrived and off you go, no Q asked.

2 mediums and one small should still be OK with a limo

I booked 1 car for my parents who travelled SIN-BNE recently with 2 medium and 1 small bags, but their EK flight was on one single PNR. I assume you're on separate bookings?

Thanks for your replies.

We booked J flights using points, but I think it is the same PNR. When I log into the Emirates website, it advises 2 cars available, but I have only booked one.
