Emirates Lounge Available Times for Qantas Elites/Business/First PAX.

I'm just departing Brisbane on the 6:30pm flight to Auckland.

The Emirates Brisbane lounge opens 5pm and is available for Qantas Gold and higher as well as Business passengers flying Qantas.

I was welcomed in just after 5pm and had a good 45 minutes with far better F&B than available that at the Qantas International Business Lounge.

It was a long walk to Gate 75, and then further back to gate 84 tonight, but certainly worth the trek. (Moet/Tattenger v. Seppelts)

Please post your ongoing experiences in being able to use Emirates lounges while flying Qantas.

Similar situation in Sydney - EK lounge opens just after 5, allowing time for a quick visit before the night flights to NZ. QF149 to Auckland has the best of it with its 1915 departure.
There's also possibilities with the morning opening - although it's usually just QF141 and 143 to AKL before EK closes at 0815.
This is particularly handy when the flight departs from the high gate numbers.

Might not be worth the diversion from the QF FLounge, but from Business...
