EMIRATES Lounges in Oz - Current Status

An Emirates spokesperson informed me that the Brisbane lounge is currently "undergoing renovations".
I'm curious about the Auckland lounge does this mean a QF Gold flying EK from AKL to DXB would be given access to the Air NZ lounge?

An Emirates spokesperson informed me that the Brisbane lounge is currently "undergoing renovations".

Heard from an EK check-in agent in BNE that the lounge will probably not reopen until June - which is in line with the resumption of the second daily flight...

We got in touch with Emirates again last month to enquire about the status of the Brisbane lounge, which still hasn't reopened.

Emirates got back to us today, with a spokesperson for the airline telling us:

The Emirates Brisbane Lounge has been undergoing a major upgrade this year, not just cosmetically, but also structurally with the installation of critical systems. We will be in a position to announce the opening date of our newly renovated lounge at the beginning of 2024, which will further enhance the on-ground experience for our customers. Fortunately, we have agreements in place for eligible customers to enjoy an alternative lounge in the interim.

Walked past the entrance yesterday. The alternative lounge is Plaza premium. QF lounge is nicer if you have access to that (eg through qf status).

Ive got a 6am flight coming up a new weeks in F.
Im usually the type to be excited and love lounges, for the food, atmospher, alcohol, shower, massages(if avail), and make full use of it

However im not a morning person. So chances are ill go in, have a coffee, and sit there like a grump until my flight.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the melbourne lounge for emirates F?
Kind of feel.im wasting a once in a lifetime opportunity, but i cant change i suck in the morning

Does anyone have any suggestions on the melbourne lounge for emirates F?
Qantas Melbourne First lounge doesn’t open until 5:15am meaning that you’ll be unlikely to have anytime for it before boarding is called.

Emirates has their own lounge shared Business/First/Gold/Platinum which is quite good.

If the flight is EK409 it rarely departs on time at 6:15 and is a 2 minute walk to the gate usually.
Being in F you could still get 45 mins or so in the QF lounge and board when you want.

Yes ek409, good guess

So should i just go to the qantas lounge?

Its my first emirates flight and once in a lifetime but being 4am i get to the airport. I wont be eating, drinking, showering, massaging, or anything.

Maybe a glass of water.
Feels like a huge opportunity wasted but thats no ones fault.
At least ill be able to enjoy the transit lounge for 12 hours
