And I can also confirm that my Platinum Charge Card (that wasn't targeted for the promotion) also has its transactions earning bonus points, so it seems the promotion applies to the entire MR account, rather than a specific card, as was first thought.

Let the spending begin. Now I'm not going anywhere near $20K a month to earn 10K in points, but I'll spend where I can on Amex. Any points will be greatfully received and transferred to AA.

My supp card holders' spend was counted in the last promo, so I'm glad that it is similaly counted in this promo. Thanks Amex.

That the bonus 0.5 point seems to apply to all cards in one's MR account is not a surprise....for I am guessing thata large part of the reason for this promo was to keep people spending on their direct Amex Cards rather than the Qantas Direct Cards...and so hence the April 1 start date.

Just be aware I signed up for this promotion had a gold charge card and was converted to an advantage reward card but they wont issue me the extra bonus points.

I hate arguing with amex on this so off to the FOS I go

If you have an analogue watch like mine which has a simple date scroller, it's quite easy to make the mistake of saying April 31st, or June 31st, etc.

Has anyone else besides me noticed that the accelerator bonus points are not being posted / have not been posted for a few days now?

I asked Amex and they said they are experiencing problems with this and should be rectified soon....but no indication of time frame.

This Promo has much tighter T&C than the Everday Promo. So you might want to read through them..

Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program. The Points Accelerator Promotion enables invited Cardmembers to receive an additional 0.5 Membership Rewards Bonus Point per one Australian dollar spent on eligible purchases charged to the specific American Express Credit or Charge Card issued by American Express Australia Limited ("American Express"), that was nominated in the invitation to participate in the promotion.


So given the T&C if you changed Cards then you might be out of luck.


I have jumped to using the Westpac Krisfler card antyway...so you might want to havea look at that.

A few days on, and it seems points have posted for some transactions and not others (the later ones are being credited).

I have not changed cards, but I have recently received a new Amex charge card, which may have something to do with my...."delay".

I'll monitor a few more days before I call Concierge again.
