Well tally ho..

Just dida run to make the most of the Earth 3 points per $ finishing today.

From tomorrow it is Amex at 1.75 for me....and since my wifes Sup Card evidently will not be credited...I have bought $750 of Gift Cards tonight on my Earth Card for her to use on general shopping and pretrol for a bit and to earn 3 points rather than 1.25 points per $.

I dont believe a word Amex says any more.

If anyone sees the points, as JohnK says, it really will be a "bonus".

Well, I've just put through 2k on my card this morning.. so will be interesting to see how it posts.

I don't have a copy of the T&C with me at the moment; are they mentioning the bonus points will be posted straight away or in 8-10 weeks?

It would appear to be an ongoing posting of bonus points. So we should find out early if all is OK.

Terms and Conditions said:
  • Membership Rewards Bonus Points will only be awarded for eligible purchases made after the date of registration and during the promotion period.
  • Up to a maximum of 10,000 Membership Rewards Bonus Points can be earned by a registered Cardmember on eligible purchases during each calendar month of the promotion period.
  • The Membership Rewards Bonus Points cap will be reset to zero at the beginning of each calendar month whether or not the cap was reached in the preceding calendar month. A maximum of 30,000 Membership Rewards Bonus Points can be earned during the entire promotion period.

Terms and Conditions as posted in the OP.

I just checked my account and all my transactions for the 1st of April had the additional 0.5 bonus points labeled "Accelerator Promo" - 2 points per dollar all up definitely makes the AMEX the card of choice for the next few months, even without QF transfers (my Starwood account can use topping up anyway :D).

I can confirm it is also going through OK for me

Here we go again!!!! I am going to put through a large transaction on 1st April approx $10K. I have called Amex MR and they have advised me that they do not have any record of myself being registered for the promotion. I have also kept a copy of the screen shot showing that I have registered for the promo online. Amex MR have advised me to fax a copy of the letter and card to prove that I was targetted for the promotion. This must be a April fool promotion!!!! A problem even before the promotion starts next week. I will be faxing the letter/card to Amex MR on Mon. Hope that should fix the problem. another amex bungle even before the promotion starts!!!

My problem was fixed on 30 Mar and I am pleased to see my bonus pts being posted today.

How do you guys keep your Telstra bills around/below $30?

'tis my land line, home budget. I needed it for my ADSL!

Has now risen to 20.95/month (ah.. thanks Telstra!), and the remainder of the bill is made up with c/c surcharge and my housemates phonecalls as I don't use the landline for that.

I am on a $30 plan a month with $25 voice and $5 data included. I have nominated my parents number as the special number I can call for 3 minutes and not pay anything. I always keep an eye out on the time and if I need to talk to them for 10 minutes then I will make 4 short phone calls. I have no need to talk to anyone else regularly and most months I do not even get close to using my $25 voice allowance and I have never used any of the $5 data allowance.

Occasionally I do go over $30/month and that is when I get really depressed. What a waste of money. :(

Has anyone seen Accelerator points appear for a transaction performed on a card that wasn't targeted for the promotion? Points for my Plat Credit have come through (it was targeted) but a test Plat Charge transaction that I ran yesterday hasn't processed yet and so I can't confirm...
