Everyday Rewards Qantas Credit Card

Sorry, I'm a bit slow on the uptake this morning...

- Does this Everyday Rewards card replace the Everyday Money card? Reasons I'm asking this, this Everyday Money card is not the Everyday Rewards program card, is it? The 16k sign-up bonus doesn't apply to the existing Everyday Money card holders.
- Is the only difference between this new card and the plain ANZ/QFF card is that this card has no cap and has a 1:1 earn ratio?
- Are there any major differences that I should be aware of?

I'd a quick skim of the site and of the T&C and didn't notice anything new...

1. No it doesn't replace it - there are now options for both cards on the Everyday Money site
2. ANZ is Visa, Woolworths is Mastercard. ;) Otherwise, I'd say those are fairly significant differences...
3. Not that I can tell, no.

hmmm, sign up now or wait for a possible mailout to FF members with a discounted fee offer for signing up :) ?

Hmm, I'm wondering whether I should join... I think the most likely scenario is for this to replace my ANZ/QFF card and keep my Amex/QFF.

If this new card has bonus points for buying QF tickets, better yet, have a platinum version that earns on the same ratio as the Amex one, I'll switch over.

However, no doubt QF have calculated this way to have each card fill different market segments...

Then again, if I decide to dump QF altogether, I may just join other cards like EK, SQ or even Virgin... How I wish there's a SPG card here... (The current Amex ratio is terrible...)

I too tried to apply this morning - however it kept rejecting my WER card number and QFF number saying they were not vaild.

Sent off query to WER but no response as yet.

Sorry - I just tried again - success this time - apologies for wasting band width.

I've been trying to apply for a card for my husband and have been getting the same "not valid" error. I guess I'll try again this evening..

I applied for myself and it worked fine.. but I didn't recieve any confirmation email that my application was rec'd.. has anyone else rec'd a confirmation email?

Thanks guys,

Zoe.

No email confirmation for me. It did say on the application that notification would be received by post.....but it seems a little odd than in this age there is at least no email confirmation of application receipt.

Personally I have found the replacement easy and simple.

You go on-line. Just follow the prompts for a replacement card (ie you do not email. You just apply for a replacement card)...and they then just mail you out a new cad.

The new cards are better also as they come with two extra mini cards.

To get the mini cards for my other family accounts I promptly "lost" them and went online for replacements for them too.

Each time was easy, and in about a week the new cards arrived.

I tried that this afternoon, hoping to get a new card, not that I have lost my old one. Do you know if they send a new card with a new number out, or print your old number on the new card? So is the card specially printed or just one they have spare ;)

Anyway, couldn’t do it because of this tidbit:

You have active EverydayRewardsQantasCreditCard product or application in your profile.

We don't tend to spend much at Woolworths/Big W/etc, as we have a Coles much closer where we do our groceries, so being able to get 1pt per $ there will add up to a bit (we currently have no other points earning cards).

Pretty good getting Qantas points on a Woolworths CC while shopping at Coles :D

Ditto, nothing to my inbox.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If a lot of the members and their friends and associates take up this card it will put a lot of pressure on the 4 big banks to become less stingy with their QF points earning rates.
This could be very good for all of us.
I love the point a dollar concept I have with Westpac Kris Platinum Visa and Citi Select Visa so go Woolies with this $89 card!

Good card overall, especially that it is a MC and not Amex. It is probably good for people who only wants 1 credit card rather a library of cards. However I just applied for Amex Edge and I still have Westpac Krisflyer and Citibank Gold (annual fee free) to fallback on at the moment so I will watch this from the side for now.

Applied tonight quite successfully.

Mrs Paddy decided to as well :D

However she is stumbling given her Woolies card is in her married name, and her QFF card is in her maiden name

The credit card process assumes they're the same name!

Interestingly the doofus's behind this don't realise that some people don't have landlines any more. So I was unable to nominate my sister for the "Security" questions as she doesn't have a landline.

No confirming email after 30 mins btw

Paddy

How do you base success? I applied, but I don’t think it’s a sure thing I’ll get a card. Do they just check to make sure you have the minimum income and send it out?

What I didn’t like was not the phone number issues, but the address layout. I have a pretty odd address, no street name, almost 2 suburbs, generally when you write it out, yet I couldn’t write my address appropriately on the form because of it.

My Partner is a Woolies Staff member so I get the 16000 points - but the first year is fee free :)

Very happy- this could replace my ANZ Qantas card.

Interestingly on the staff card you still get the 16k points if not a new member and a bonus (query if this means 23.5k) if you are transferring.

Very different to the public offer.
