Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

W - spend $210 in multiple to get 6,000.

Spend $60 / wk for 4 wks to get 6,800

vs C spend $50 /wk for 4 wks get 10,000.

Woolies same store sales are not going to look good this quarter. C's offers have won every time.

Usually they have, I did get reminder emails each week showing me completing each weeks challenge. I did check the t&c’s after my post this morning and it did say that any online orders during the promotion would mean points might not credit until the 24th. One of the weeks I did do online as part of stacking multiple offers.

So maybe it is ok or maybe stacking the offers has caused a problem. Will wait until after the 24th and then call if nothing gets posted

So my 8000 points credited tonight and all is good in the world. Seems my stacking and triple stacking has so far all worked out

Gee, they really like to push this online shopping (which I don't do) and their Google Mini. Got offered to spend $300 online for a free Google Mini.

IMHO the Google mini and its competitors is about as close to George Orwell's 1984 as you can get.

If you thought the Samsung smart TVs were bad (thank you CIA!) with their ability to be turned into a monitoring device capable of differentiating who is in the room and recording all conversations etc.

Here comes the home mini...

It monitors everybody in the house/unit, keeps track of what they're doing and where, and sends all the info back to Google. Including what radio/TV/videos you are watching, how long you are moving around/sitting etc etc.

A wolf in sheep's clothing?

Strewth, the adult industry may end up with a new supply chain of content.

One thing we can agree on.
Even worse from google-
Google collects Android users' locations even when location services are disabled

More of a risk than you may believe. Most smart TVs have no security set - so can be hacked. Especially since the CIA's tools were hacked/stolen (still to be determined) and put out on the web for anyone to use.

Remember Trump getting mocked for asking if the CIA had bugged him? Turned out traces of the CIA programs to hack into smart TVs were found in the Trump tower smart TVs. May have been what tipped the CIA off that their suite of hacking tools had been stolen.

Sometimes it pays NOT to flaunt your wealth on the latest, greatest & largest TV!

BTW - if you have a relatively recent OPTUS modem I've got some bad news for you...

Check the security settings. Hint User = admin but I won't tell you what the password is.

Easy to change.

Makes you wonder about the dongles that W sell - should come with a warning "harmful to your health although may earn you rewards!"

Well I guess the entrepreneurial types will plaster their walls with advertising then....

Getting a bit off topic here. However, in terms of security of devices people buy, it really is up to the owner to ensure they change the default passwords. It is ridiculous that people don't change them and then are surprised when their baby monitor gets taken over. When you buy a new suitcase, only a fool would lock it and leave the default code at 000 while expecting some form of security.

Trouble is the 'only a fool' = about 75% of the population.

How many people thought that their smart TV could spy on them? Perhaps that's why W does not sell them (almost back on topic...)

A few family members got triple points offers for Woolworths and Big W starting tomorrow and ending next Sunday. I have a feeling the Big W triple points offer might be going on longer than this but I'm not sure of the details.

I'm taking up 2 offers from Coles at the moment so haven't been going to Woolworths much. I'll probably do a small shop there tomorrow to pick up some of the half price specials and the products I can't get at Coles.

Just a reminder....

For those who are Woolworths shareholders - the 10x points coupon that came with the Annual Report - expires on November 27th.

Use it or lose it!

Woolworths secret santa ........ 1000 pts for $80 pickup or 2000 pts for $120 delivery ......... no thanks W

Wonder how I can tell Woolworths I am just not interested in their delivery service without blocking other offers. Have to log in and see if this is possible later.

Yours worked then?

Tried my offer three times over 4 hours last night and would not work and came up with W's idea of humour about it not working.
