Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Hit my $30 in two transactions this morning. The self checkout showed $5 wwr earned on the top middle area of the screen before payment.

Got the $W10 instantly after reaching the $100 spend over three transactions this week, the checkout operator even said we had $10 off our next shop. Oddly the second shop didn't have a progress status on the receipt even though the first one did.

It appears Woolworths have improved the system and are able to credit the WWD even when the target has been reached in multiple transactions. Let's hope this trend continues.

My partner's card received an offer today. The offer goes for 2 weeks. Spend $30 in one transaction to earn $5 in Woolworths Dollars. That makes a total of $10WWD for the promotion period which starts tomorrow. I made sure to check the dates carefully given there are a couple of overlapping offers at the moment. I should be able to take the offer up but it means a little bit of stockpiling. I've also got 2 other Woolworths Rewards offers to take up but given that each offer has a $30 total I should be able to achieve all of them if I spread the shopping out evenly across the week. I'm hoping for some really good half price specials so it's worth adding stuff to my stockpile (which isn't as big as it usually is).

I wish Woolworths and Coles would offer some decent specials on meat. The meat prices have jumped a lot in the last year and the "special" prices at the moment are the same as what the full price meat used to cost. I rarely buy meat at full price so that's really been a price hike for me.

Gippsland is in drought and I think NSW/Queensland is still in drought? Friends who raise beef cattle, told me that last spring/summer has been very dry and hay prices very expensive. Add to this, China is now buying our beef, the export market is also driving up prices.

There is a shortage in beef due to drought in the top three global beef producing countries.
Also, the MeatCo meat packing plant in north Melbourne that supplies most meat to woolworths stores in VIC and parts of SA and southern NSW/ACT is not meeting production targets.

What's happening with Lamb. The prices are high there as well. We used to get really good targeted offers on Lamb products and I haven't had one in ages.

There were supply issues with Lamb as well, but I haven't seen any recent news about it.

Wife has a we miss you offer of $10 Woolworths dollars for $30 spend this week.

That makes 3 offers for the household but can't achieve all 3 offers. Still no offers this year for dad and brother.

Good to see that the We Miss You offers are still around. I wonder if we'll get that on the account that hasn't received any offers so far.

After thinking I wouldn't bother with week 1 of my 3 week $30/$5 offer, I managed to swing it yesterday with a small shop.

No Coles coupons is certainly swinging my spending back to WW.

Missed my target of $145 by $20.
Went away for the weekend and that was the end of that.

$145 is too high for me anyway. But I had recently taken up a spend $135 for 3 weeks, which I really pushed myself to achieve and I guess now I am paying the price for reaping a nice little earner there.

Well Mrs WF is seemingly getting all the offers, as I have seen none.

Her Qantas points for the required spend have posted... Though neither of use are progressing very quickly to WOW$10.

Happy wandering

Fred

So have mine.

However we still don't know how we convert $$ to pts yet do we?

Yesterday I though I might have had $10 in itchy and scratchy money so I did multiple transaction to keep under $10 (much to the annoyance of those behind me) turns out I didn't need to. But from next week I will.

Not sure how long we can juggle trying to hoard $10 amts... and I think that's woollies point!

Especially if we get a decent target offer that requires us to spend over $10 in one transaction!

I think they have always had the capacity to do this - they will just pick and choose what offers we can do it on!
