Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Well Mrs WF just earned WOW$1.43 on a $107 shop. Interesting that there is no way from looking at the docket to determine what items actually earned anything... Nothing particularly unusual on the listing, so it might have been worthwhile going back an buying MORE (of something).

Is it a (another) marketing fail, or am I missing something(s) on the docket?

As far as I can tell there is no indication on the receipt as to what products earned the orange ticket Woolworths dollars. Many stores don't put out all the orange tickets so there may not be any way to find out at the store which product earned the WWD. Try logging into your account and see if the product is listed under the "My offers" section.

I don't know how y'all shop, but I tend to look at prices on the shelf, compare unit costs, that sort of thing. Sometimes it induces me to switch to other brands, but most times it just prompts me to buy multiples of items that I know I will consume anyway.

Woolies currently provide discounts in 2 ways - upfront reduction in cost or earning $ rewards (a sort of delayed gratification in bundles of $10). They amount to the same thing, so the discounted price is the discounted price if you swipe your card. In return they get to see my spending patterns. Fair enough.

I am constantly puzzled as to why people here don't 1.) understand this, and 2.) use the system to their advantage. Tunnel vision about points, perhaps???

I think that's right.

Refusing to take advantage of brands that might have an orange ticket is a bit like calling the weekly catalogues a 'scam' because your regular brand isn't on special every week.

If you want to make savings you have to shop what's on special - same with orange tickets. This might mean brand substitution.

Swap kitchen cleaner from Ajax to Pine-o-Clean and you might add another woollies dollar to your account.

I'm not getting QFFF points atm from EDR, but I've saved more than the cost of an equivalent airfare, in quicker time, than the old system.

Doesn't work too well when you already are buying the least expensive and the "sale" items are still more expensive. Consider jams and jellies the next time you shop.

You are the perfect example of what is wrong with their system. I get no offers of spend so much to earn so many Woolies $ and after having spent
over $2500 and not reaching $10 from orange stickers since the new system came in I now do all my shopping at Coles. No offers to any of the 4 cards my family has
so we are clearly not wanted as customers.

But wouldn't they push the brands with the largest mark up which are possibly, if you base it on quality, not the best value at all.

obviously you only buy the orange ticket items when they represent value for money. Either lower in cost than your regular brand, or the same cost but an orange ticket rebate.
 
We did the Week 3 spend for our other family member card today. $10 in Woolworths Dollars was credited to the account straight after the transaction. It was good to see the correct amount being credited. Woolworths Rewards have credited the missing $5 amount to my account. I'm happy it was resolved within a few days.

I have gotten no usable, realistic "targeted" offers since the program started. The only offers I have gotten have been sent to everyone. I have only been able to use 1, and that was only because it was xmas week.
The orange tickets are rarely, if ever, on any product I have any reason to buy. I have seen WOW$ earn tickets on 1 product I might get in the last 3 months.

Can hardly "use the system" when there is nothing in the system to use.
 
I really dislike the new system. Since it started we have only $1.35 on the orange stickers but shopping done for about $4000. The items they have on orange stickers are not items that we buy.

So now I buy the veggies at the fruit and veg shop (way cheaper), anything I can at Coles and the rest at Woolies. I prefer Woolies as they carry a bigger range, but they give me no reason real reason to choose them above others.
 
There were lots of Orange sticker items at Woolworths DFO Brisbane yesterday although the prices do look a little inflated.

That is what I think too. Next time I will lift the stickers to look at the ticketed price underneath :D

Orange ticket items are usually full price items with the rebate coming off your purchase later. It's only worth buying them if you were going to pay full price for the items anyway. Occasionally specials also have an orange ticket rebate but these are very rare.

I do understand that this is how it is supposed to be, but who is to say that they dont actually up the price for that week? Like Harvey Normans do for their sales :D

No point. They'll do a price update on the normal shelf ticket, then the following week put up an orange ticket that matches it.

There are 2 types of orange tickets. Orange and white - normal price with W$ earn and saving at some point later, and orange and yellow - special price with added W$ earn.
 
Today: spend $40 in one transaction earn $10, over two weeks.

Interesting follow up after spend $30 in multiple transactions to get 5/5/10.

Intelligent targeted offers to increase my spend.

One family member got the 2 week offer of $10 Woolworths dollars each week for a transaction amount of $40 each week. We should be able to use this one. This is one of the accounts which got the $30 target for the last 3 weeks. I knew the target would go up and I'm actually impressed it just went up to $40. I thought it might end up as $50 or more.
