Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

The game has changed and you need to change with it.

I do understand that, but the food I eat or items I buy arent the items that have orange stickers. I wont buy something just because it has an orange sticker. Instead I changed my shopping and do it mainly at Coles and get Flybuy points transfered to Etihad.

Today: spend $40 in one transaction earn $10, over two weeks.

Interesting follow up after spend $30 in multiple transactions to get 5/5/10.

Intelligent targeted offers to increase my spend.

Received exactly the same offer, also up from the prev $30 . Might activate this one - not sure :-D

nothing here either but i bet we'll get an offer, maybe even for QFF points 'cause we're heading OS on Tuesday

New 2 week offer - $70/$15 WWR. Not taking it up. Last offer was $30/$5, so while it's on a similar earn rate, I'm not chasing such a high value spend.

I have changed. Like many others I rarely shop there now preferring to collect my certain Fly Buys points at Coles. No wonder they are struggling financially when they can afford to do without the $10,000 per year I used to spend at Woolies and all because they don't listen to their customers.

No offers here either, I have changed and now split between Coles, Woolworths and Aldi - so another $10K gone from our household plus what I used to buy on behalf of work

I'm not sure they are "struggling" as such, just losing ground against Coles and now Aldi. The number I heard was Woollies was paying QF Frequent Flyer $80M p.a. and Woollies loyalty thought they could cut that and retain customers. Little did they know......the people have spoken.

It's starting to become too much dicking around trying to following it, from the customer view point. I don't want to have to check or read anything, just give me a few points when I spend something. Nice and easy.

Wow, that's a big jump. I would have expected a rise in target to $40 or $50 but to go all the way to $70 after the last offer being $5 is ridiculous.

My partner just got a 2 week offer which matches our other offer of $10 WWD for a $40 transaction each week. Not sure whether we will use it both weeks. It will depend on the specials. I think I'll only be doing a small shop at Coles this week so I might be able to do both offers this week and just one offer next week. We're fairly well stocked with Woolworths goods at the moment.

It's not that bad. 2.33x the spend for 3x the reward.

Smacks of desperation to me.

The marketing dept may well be feeling the blow-torch from above and commencing a last ditch effort to retain their jobs.

Or not.

Notice the increasing frequency of the ALDI adverts on TV?

Those of us who watch ABC/SBS have far fewer commercials... Come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen an Aldi ad on TV...

As for Woolies marketing? I seem to have dropped off the email register - though the address is still on file. Mrs WF is getting all the sales pitch now.

Happy wandering

That's what happens when you ask 1400 people leading questions, get the answers you want and expect 9 million people to agree. Then when you get told they don't agree, get all surprised, and do nothing.

I have seen a few Aldi TV ad's. Mainly how they drop the price of certain basics.

We made the bonus week target, but didn't get this week's offer.

We were heavily into Coles last year thanks to the coupon book and two 10,000 point offers, but this year the spend targets have gotten too high - $140/week. The latest docket offer dropped $10 to $130, but that's still over the odds. Regardless, we'll still shop at both due to certain items that are only available in one or the other, or we have a strong preference for from one of them, and then move the rest of the spend depending on specials and offers.

I also prefer the target for a week rather than having to do it in an individual shop, it often means with a few mid-week shops we're most of the way there by the weekend, and could conceivably take advantage of a FB offer too.

Nope. I don't watch adverts. All TV is recorded on a PVR and then watched later, skipping through the adverts. Even a programme we are planning to watch live, we start watching about 15 minutes late, yet still finish on time. It's a lovely advert free world in our house :).
