Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Re: Woolworths Rewards General Offers

2,000 additional Qantas points for being a WOW shareholder by presenting a bar code at checkout. The retail value for me is 5 cents per point on a QF J redemption so I am happy with this. Woolies cost would be about $20 to $25 to do this I think.

After receiving the standard weekly offers targeting regular purchases showing price disc, I have now received a "Secret offer just for you".similar to standard price/ weekly specials but providing bonus points earn below the line as needs to be activated and won't appear on sales docket. The offers will generate ~ an extra 1,000 points for $35 spend with this weeks shop based on normal buying habits.
Seems like a "test and learn approach" to identifying points vs price offer segmentation.I did get and attain the 16k 2 week offer recently which was a nice earner

Re: Woolworths Rewards General Offers

I'm glad everybody has been talking about the WOW shareholder bonus. I checked my email and realised that I had missed the link. 2000 points for $100 spend. Easy points :).

We got an interesting offer today for a family member account which hasn't been used for a couple of months. I don't know whether this is the equivalent of a "we miss you" offer or something different. The account has rarely been used since it was opened so maybe it's an attempt to get some demographic information about what products the customer is interested in.

The offer is a 3 week offer and it appears that the points earned will be paid each week.

Week 1, spend $30 in one transaction for 1000 points
Week 2, spend $40 in one transaction for 2000 points
Week 3, spend $50 in one transaction for 3000 points

It's a similar spend pattern to previous offers however under the initial Woolworths Rewards system, the rewards were $ off rather than points. The $ off was more useful at the time but I'll still be able to get the benefits of the points eventually.

The first 2 weeks of this offer will double up with my 4 week offer but as the total for the 4 week offer is fairly low, I should be able to manage both offers for those weeks. I've also got a Coles offer with a $50 target per week offer at the moment but taking up the 3 offers in one week will still put me on my normal groceries budget which is around $140 per week. Sometimes we spend much less than that but other weeks we spend around $200 provided we have either special occasions or really good targeted offers.

Dad has also received this offer.

We have completed 2 weeks of my 4 week spend $65 for 8000 bonus points. The big question for now are 6,090 QFF points worth $70? I don't think so but too big a points haul to ignore?
