Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

They are really pushing the EDR Extra at the moment, is a whole heap of press instore, tv, and so on. So it’s clear they are investing the dollars in the 10% and not the points anymore. Obviously a big differentiator vs Coles.

I do miss those spend xx and get 15000 point offers though! My QFF points balance skyrocketed over those years.

I’m starting to wonder if the algo has been adjusted to include GC purchases.

We have two accounts in the family that have had no grocery spend for many weeks.

This was due to a lack of offers, and a 4 week target at Coles.

Both accounts have been used the past fortnight for GC purchases and both have sprung back to life with great weekly offers like:

$360 for 1,800pts
$380 for 1,800pts

We’ve never spent that amount on either account besides GC, so perhaps the GC purchases are now being used in the calculation of spend targets.

I went back and checked my 2023 spend and it wasn't notable in November, though October had some big numbers. (Wondering if they might be using like seasonal average spend to set targets and rewards)

Woolworths has no stock here in Victoria with these strikes. The whole freezer section is empty. They hopefully will bump up the offers as all my dollars have to go Coles this week!

I managed to scrape through yesterday and now my next offer this week has a higher spend of $110 for the same number of points
I've now also met this week's threshold due to some items on special that I can stock up on

The state of my local Woolworths today here in Melbourne is worse than Covid, literally half each aisle is empty. I asked the Manager in the aisle he said sales are down 70%.

Everyone is going to Coles now and they are also now suffering empty shelving.

If you have Woolworths shares, expect a hit after the H1 results are released as this will certainly be damaging.

2x points on Woolies shops - not much, but these kinds of offers rarely come through these days.

The Elf gave me 10x points at the Rewards Shop this week.

same Elf 10x rewards shop, never shopped there & that won't change.

Also an 800points for $60 shop came thru, I mean it's just embarrassing.

No off

4 week $70 / 6000 points offer on my account which stacks with a 5* point this week.
10* for Mrs excel.
Looks like my wwr card may come out of the drawer, after purchasing some 6x points / 3% off gift cards too.

Same.

At least there's nothing to buy in Woolies here in Melbourne this week which removes the temptation to use this, thereby hopefully triggering a better offer next week...

Offering spend x for y points atm is pointless given they don't have the stock for people to buy.

On the weekend my local Woolies did not have name brands in stock, only coughpy home brands, why would anyone spend $ on imported inferior food when IGA and Coles had the local name brands in stock.

No elf in my app this week either.

Wow that's a great offer

I have 2 cards with 2 x points....... Hard pass again

Don't forget the 10x points on Vanilla Visa cards this week

Oh and on card number 3, yet another 1800 points for $350 spend. I have had this for weeks and it keeps coming.

Yet my spend on that card excluding gift cards, has been about $30-50 per week :(
