Good luck getting it delivered on a Saturday :confused:

No issues with picking it up though, AAE usually drop it at the local retail PO which is open Saturday mornings, if in fact its been shipped by AAE.

It will be fine as we lodge at SYD and I collect at PER so I should be able to collect when I get to the airport tomorrow.

Although "overnight" with AAE means lodge Friday get Monday the parcel is always available Saturday after 6am.

Ahhh, I understand now, must admit I have had the odd overnight on a weekend not get their by Sat AM but its been about 1 in 200.

Got my shiny new card today..... but still no welcome pack from when I ticked over three weeks ago.

Called the secret Platinum number on my card (I felt so special!) and the lady (who answered without it even ringing!) said that the new cards took preference, but that it was still "concerning."

Apparently I should "get worried" in about two weeks... at least I have the card, I guess, but I want the luggage tags! :)

Not impressed as both WP, neither I nor my lifetime Gold pal have got their cards yet. After so many years looking at the joys of priority boarding again! New facility made a mention in the WA papers today.

Are you travelling through PER anytime soon?

I haven't got mine yet either. It's really not a big deal. They'll come when they come.

It's only in PER at present, SYD coming later in the year.

Mine just arrived today. I might even get to use it in PER in the next month or so - but nothing booked so far.

Having officially made WP after the announcement, I can confirm that the new cards are not completely replacing the old ones yet.

Though I look forward to having received two WP cards in the space of a few months when the NGCI opens in SYD 'this spring'.

Mine arrived at the office sometime this week.

Always so exciting to get mail from QF, especially a new card! Shame I have no current forward bookings to/from PER.

Got my new card yesterday.

As said, exactly the same as the current stock of cards, except with a shiny silver Q chip in the corner (shiny silver = think alfoil).

Apart from that, they really pulled the stops with the marketing material. Transparent envelope, glossy guide to NGCI and a "cover letter" printed on cardboard with directions on the back on how to fold it into a paper plane.

Ditto, it was designed by Marc Newson, just like the gear installed at Perth ;)

New Q luggage tags are coming soon according to the letter, so you will get them one way or another.

I wonder what happens when you move up or down status? do your old tags still work?

New system shows a lot of promise, but in my case the card didn't work (story was there had been problems with cards issued in the last day or so) in the swipe reader, but worked fine with a 'kiosk'. I can understand that glitches occur, but the thing that made me laugh was when my colleague used the new card OK, but was asked for his boarding pass in the QF club lounge. They seemed to have been less than prepared for the absence of a boarding pass situation created by the new sytem. That is not an acceptable 'glitch'. An action for Allan to resolve (and reported through the short questionnaire received today).

As mentioned in another thread it looks like they are installing scanners in the lounges to cover this.

Good you gave feedback though :) it will keep out all the QF club SG's flying Virgin who just want a cup of water before their ordeal!! :)

Got my shiny new SG 'chipped' card in the mail the other week.

Did a PER-PHE-PER in a day on Thursday so I thought I would try it out.

Pressed card against reader and it displayed that I needed to go to service counter.

Was told I still needed boarding pass because PHE does not have the new facilities yet.

Didn't seem to be any use for my new shiny card when transferring INT-Dom the other day.
