Better still, the companion is at the boarding gatejust tell them your partner went to the barthroom or is browsing the shops. I don't think they will care, more money for them really.
the reference in Whirlpool relates to 3 hours between swipes at the same venue. Unlikely, they will allow you to just create unlimited separate orders upto $36 and paid via PP. Would enable you to feed the entire airport at no cost to you.I've seen reports on Whirlpool that for restaurants/cafes there is a limit of 1 'swipe/scan' per 3 hours. Anyone know if this is the arrangement for PP via Citi Prestige (which has unlimited visits for cardholder + 1 guest)?
To clarify, my question is about using it at the same venue.
I think that would be ripping the cough out of it really. You could just cruise all the venues and not risk a double charge. To clarify, my question is about using it at the same venue.
That article appears to be discussing the priority pass included with the Citi prestige not the Citi premier cards. The AFF email on 9 January included an article titled "The Trick to Get a (Good) Free Meal Whenever You Fly" states:
“Not only can you use this benefit for yourself, but you can also invite a guest who’s flying with you each time at no cost. This means that if you’re travelling with a relative, friend or colleague, they can also get $36 worth of free food and drink at a participating airport eatery. That’s a total of $72 credit between both of you. (If there’s an airport lounge available, your guest can join you in there for free as well.)”
That statement is absolutely NOT true! Guests are NOT free!
I have experienced this myself recently when my wife and I used my Priority Pass at Sydney International Plaza Premium lounge. I showed my Priority Pass card on my phone and assumed at the time that my two lounge visits would be used. I found later that I had been charged one lounge visit on Priority Pass and charged $35 for my wife even though I had two passes available on the card. I did not show my credit card.
I phoned Citibank and was directed to the Citi Premier Terms and Conditions which state:
“The first two visits within each 12-month membership period from registration (membership year) are complimentary to the primary cardholder only, after which any additional visits by you and visits by your guests will be charged directly to you by Priority Pass at their ordinary standard rates.”
If the StG issued is a 2 passes/year, you may see a $36 charge appear on your card in a few days if it's the same conditions as citi premier. Be interested to know.I can confirm that +1 and I both received the $36 benefit at the restaurant in BNE when using my Priority Pass issued by St George. It would seem there are various versions of PP depending on which credit card provides it.
