Has anyone tried successfully to take an extra guest or two into a QP?
When my brother was QFF SG, he managed twice in a row to take 3 guests into the QP - once at Sydney T3 and again at Melbourne T1.
At Sydney he simply asked if he could take his family in and the CSR quickly and inconspicuously replied "Yeah you're right." I was surprised that it was allowed as it was a crowded Thursday evening.
At Melbourne it was a quiet Sunday afternoon. He explained that the four of us were travelling together and asked if it would be ok to admit the two extra guests. The CSR asked what time our flight was, and said that she would allow it this time but in future only one guest would be allowed as they were undergoing renovations (though it was almost empty inside).
Is there some sort of trick to pleading with the QP CSRs or is it just luck of the draw?
