EY Gold Status match

Friend of mine had theirs arrive today too. They applied after me... Yet mine hasn't been matched yet
 
Sent through status match request for myself (WP) and my wife (SG) and whattya know... card and luggage tags turn up today for Mrs aaronjames!
 
No card as yet-but just logged onto my account and my status is: 0 miles Matching Gold :)

Immediately when she phoned me to tell me some strange gold card had arrived with her name on it!

Both apps submitted in early AM of 08/02...

Perhaps asking for a match to my platinum status confused them..
 
A friend applied (he was QF Gold) the day after me (QF Plat). He got his weeks ago.. I'm yet to get mine. Maybe it is the platinum that's confusing them??
 
Friend of mine applied the day after me. He's plat, I'm gold. He got his, I still haven't heard anything. Go figure!
 
I received my requalification gold card yesterday.
Gold card dispatched 6/2/14
Received email from Etihad 6/4/14, and letter was dated 12/3/14.
About what I expect. I reckon they send it via surface mail, which fits in with the time frames.
 
Just got a monthly statement from Etihad and it ticked over to Gold. Said the card was dispatched April 24.

Finally! Now how long does this last?
 
My online status has updated to matched gold. So I updated my address back to Australia. In retrospect I'm not sure why I applied for this as it may not be that useful in my circumstance.

Gold Card & luggage tags arrived today. Back in the Virgin Lounge when I have to fly VA :)
 
After giving up on being matched by EY, check today, was matched for QFF Platinum to EY Gold on Friday. Applied on 8/2, so took almost 4 months, and 2 email to EY, one to the status match address, and another to their general customer service email. Long wait, but worth it. Will now consider using them for a trip to Europe later in the year. Shame it did not happen sooner, just booked another two overseas trips in J in the last month.

Did you get any replies (other than automated) to your emails to them? I'm still waiting..
 
I've given up on waiting. Probably not a big deal as I don't see much use for the status coming up, even though the status does actually last for quite a while.

I only got the standard automated reply when I emailed the status match email address, but the email I sent to customer service, I got a reply from a Customer Service Co-ordinator, albeit a very generic reply saying that they would look into "the concerns I raised".
I did not receive any further correspondence, only realised the status match had come through by checking my account.
