EY Gold Status match

Are they still doing status matches?

I just realised though I will run in to same sort of problems as I will be using status from one airline but wanting to credit flights to SQ KrisFlyer or something similar.

I have heard anecdotally that they are still happening.

As zainman said - no harm in trying.

I didn't think it through properly. Assuming I ask to be status matched and that's approved then I get lounge access. Not sure I want to accrue miles in TK though.

Prefer somewhere that accepts Amex transfers. So more than likely credit flights to SQ but I believe I already have lounge access as VA Gold?

If TK status match then you will have two years as *Gold with lounge access. You can use that time to credit flights to another program to get to *gold with them.

To those who were status matched, have you benefitted from the promotion in any way? I have compared my flights VA -to QF and have continued to purchase QF fares for now.

This tier match promotion does not extend to members of the frequent flyer programmmes of Etihad Airways Partners (Air Lingus, airberlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Alitalia, Jet Airways) & Virgin Australia.

Gonna have a crack if they will.match Qf SG

I saw reports that they wouldn't despite them saying Gold and above.

I was tempted, again, but I wont use it and if I'm matching Platinum One or Platinum I expect like for like. A Gold membership for a Platinum One membership basically says to me that they don't really care for my business.

Ditto. What did you send for "latest miles statement"?

I was thinking of just taking a screenshot of the activity statement but it has a lot of non-flight stuff on there.

If you log into your QFF profile, you can print a copy of your activity statement...

Mine had oodles of non-flight stuff also, and they still did the status match!

Have given it a crack with QF SG expiring end of March and looking to transfer my flying and credit card spend to Virgin so this could come in handy, here's hoping!

I even replaced the "US" in the URL with "AU" and took a screenshot of it just in case...

Terms and conditions say it's not open to Australian residents

HA! That's precisely the reason why I rushed to submit my application and also attached a screenshot of the original terms and conditions before they added the residency requirement...

If you got in before the change you should be fine. Generally takes a while to find out though.

"individuals based in". I'll give it a shot with a US mail redirecting service.
