Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Once flying BNE-ISA and once TSV-BNE flew with Bob Katter in Y.That was 6 years and one year ago so nothing to do with expense accounts.

Maybe because the CSM shares the same opinion of his behaviour as anyone with any manners?

True, but he is a pretty recognizable figure. I thought QF was always pretty good to athletes as well. While his behaviour leaves nothing to be desired, I do feel for him somewhat. He's 20 years old in the world's spotlight. Even on the plane and at the airport everyone was looking at him and he had at least 5-10 people come up to him to chat. There's no privacy in his line of work, and that sort of sucks.

Had the pleasure of sitting beside Bob Katter on the way down to Sydney from Brisbane yesterday. Maybe it is a reflection of the new travel expense standards that the pollies may now follow as we were both slumming it in economy, albeit we were in the emergency row seats, or maybe Bob has always been a man of the people and just travels economy always?

I've flown on the same plane as Bob quite a few times over the years. He's been in economy every time.

I flew Business class last week from PER-SIN on the midday QF flight.
A lovely older gentleman sat next to me who happened to have extensive knowledge about planes etc told me he was ex airforce & toys the simulators for a hobby, said he was going to singapore for a holiday. He introduced himself to me as Bryant, so I called him Bryant lol... But when I heard the flight attendant call him Professor Stokes I was a bit taken back, didn't ask what he was a professor of or anything but I did some research and he happens to be The acting Minster director for health WA & one of our leading Neurosurgeons. A lovely man it was a pleasure to fly with him

I've seen big Bob a few times. Always in Y (domestic) so I don't think it's related to recent events.

IIRC his hat took up half an overhead!

This is a long time ago, however when I was 15 my mum worked for QANTAS, flying BNE-CNS sat me next to James Reyne. I proceeded to have no idea who he was, got a nosebleed which he was kind enough to assist with, and my mum was rather upset when she was very excited about me meeting James and I said "who?".

Again, around the same age coming from ORD - LAX - SYD - BNE. On the LAX-SYD leg there was a bunch of pro surfers coming back from a competition. Myself and my sister (17?) recognised Taj Burrows amongst others, and proceeded to partake in copious alcoholic beverages which we managed to acquire up the back of the plane having a good ol laugh. I'll bet the other passengers were none to impressed with the noise, though. Directly after, we had to sit in jump seats to get back to BNE as we were unaccompanied minors on staff tickets with no money on a full last flight out.

Last friday in the Qantas Domestic Lounge - Scott Cam. It took me two days to remember his name - so I didnt say hello to him

Not seen flying or lounging, but QF related - Neil Perry + glamorous blonde (not me) at Market St Café in ADL this morning.

Dad was flying SYD/MEL on QF recently on an A330 and saw Alan Joyce and Malcolm Turnbull in 1A & 1K - not sure if that was the exact way around.

Saw one of the Veronica's coming in to the BNE J Lounge as I was exiting to board a SYD flight last week but not sure if it was Lisa or Jess.

Saw Curtis Stone in SEA a few weeks back. He was looking dishevelled and a bit harried and was madly getting about the airport. Running late for a flight I am guessing.
