I heard/saw Greg Evans (of Perfect Match fame) get wolf-whistled once in the Sydney domestic Qantas Club. No, it wasn't by me.

A friend was driving me to SYD Airport today and I saw what looked like John Symond from Aussie Home Loans 'fame' driving an Audi A8 Spyder at Mascot.

Funny, I was reading this thread for the first time the night before my flight from SYD to LAX and found myself sitting behind Nick Kyrgios in J. I didn't see the CSM give him any heightened level of service which surprised me.

A few weeks ago I was boarding QFd and there was a little bit of a jam at the front while some J pax stowed their luggage. The CSM took a look at my BP and welcomed me back on board by first name (I assume she read the iPad and remembered) and made some idle chitchat. The girl in front of me turned around a little surprised and without missing a beat, the CSM said to her "This is Michael, he flies with us a lot."

The girl (who was similar age) spent the next few minutes trying to figure out who I was and how she was so out of touch, unable to figure out who I was.

Does that count? :)

My son got a points upgrade to J on the last QF flight out of LAX last saturday week.
He was in the front row. And in walked Ricky Martin and his entourage all seated in F of course.

I was on that flight but slumming it in J (12E) - points upgrade to F didn't go through but still had an excellent flight :)

Well I guess you just found out the reason there were no F seats available to upgrade to. :sly:

Yes.

I do remember walking off the aircraft and seeing a First host escorting an entourage of people from F but I'm probably the worst celebrity spotter around so didn't realise who the party were.

The flight BTW was F0 for at least a month before the flight. A few F seats opened up in the days prior to the flight but went so I didn't expect to get the upgrade anyway. I had a surprisingly wonderful 9 hours sleep in J which was great as I had to shower and go to the office upon landing.

Maybe because the CSM shares the same opinion of his behaviour as anyone with any manners?

Doesn't your boarding pass have your first name on it? Mine does.

Had the pleasure of sitting beside Bob Katter on the way down to Sydney from Brisbane yesterday. Maybe it is a reflection of the new travel expense standards that the pollies may now follow as we were both slumming it in economy, albeit we were in the emergency row seats, or maybe Bob has always been a man of the people and just travels economy always? The first thing you notice about Bob is that he is not that big in stature. On television of course he always seems to present as a big strong country lad? I am not an overly chatty person on a plane, so it was surprising and quite pleasant when he initiated discussion with me and he really was very interested in why I was travelling and what I do and very keen to know about our business and my employees. As we departed he wished me well and as I say, it was a pleasant experience and can see why he has a good connection with his constituents.
