They are gorgeous. :) Pity I don't follow netball....

Wow. There are not many female netball players I would say are 'Gorgeous' (I did security at a few WA netball league games many years ago, and a lot of them were more masculine than I am!).

Maybe our definitions of 'Gorgeous' are not the same! ;)

Anyway the ones I did see looked quite good in their 'civilian' clothes and I would not have recognised any of them if it was not for the 'Thunderbirds' on their shirt. In fact I had to look up Google which city the Thunderbirds call home.

Come to think of it one of them at the desktops was staring at me (rather rudely) as I walked around looking for a spare desktop. It was then that I noticed the 'Thunderbirds' on her blue shirt.

I have met (not just seen) at airports or in lounges:

Richard Wright - keyboardist from Pink Floyd - alas, just an autograph and no concert tickets... BA T4(?) LHR

Most names on here, I either wouldn't know, even if I sat on them, or wouldn't care to meet, but Rick Wright.......WOW, a rock legend.......not to mention a now, never to be repeated opportunity.

My contibution to the thread is minimal I'm afraid,
a) Laurie Lawrence BNE - LAX (Oct. 2009)
b) Mark Occhilupo (and assorted other finbacks) OOL-SYD (around August 2010)
c) Mad Ron Bakir (phone retailer and money man behind the Schapelle Corby defence) either MKY or ROK - BNE (can't remember-sorry) but the flight steward didn't stop yapping to him all flight (which made the drinks trolley late). Poor guy, probably just wanted some peace and quiet without bloody phones ringing and cops that instead :( :D

Currently onboard a Virgin America flight from JFK to LAX and sitting next to Firass Dirani who played John Ibrahim in Underbelly 3 the Golden Mile and was 2010 Cleo Batchelor of the Year. Absolute ripping bloke. Seriously top-class guy. Has been a pleasure to meet him.

Had the NQ Cowboys on the plane to DRW with me Monday, and had breakfast with them this morning, they are stuck like all of us!

On returning from Auckland to Sydney last week, met Fast Ed (Chef from BH&G) in the F Lounge, mrs ejb had photo with him and then sat in front of him in 1C. Very nice guy and very friendly to strangers.

Very tall and needed all the legroom in J to fit. I couldn't recline as it would have broken his legs.

I met 22 famous people on Saturday afternoon at the BNE QC...a delegation from Flyertalk (and most concurrent AFF members). Not a bad smattering of Plats either :D

Not really. I saw a bit of the Thunderbirds vs Swifts game yesterday and Netball is definitely boring.

Ahh you get a good game and it is really good.. Gold medal match in Delhi was a heart stopper!
