Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

As mentioned in the Test match thread I just saw Warney coming out of BNE airport. There was another guy with him I thought I recognised but not sure who he was.

Could have been either Langer, Brendon Julian or Boof.

Saw Boof at the QCC Bar yesterday afternoon and again this morning.

Ian Thorpe in the SYD Dom J lounge today and on QF1019 to HBR in J... He had 2A whilst I had 1A :)

Just saw Warnie at the cricket, along with Darren Lehman (Boof) in the Qld Cricketers Club and Chris Caton this morning (chatted to him in the line up to get in). Martin Kent is the GM, saw him as well as a couple of other Qld cricketers. Some were flying, courtesy of alcohol

I just saw Chappell, Warne and Slats in the Brisbane QF J lounge but the highlight for me was a brief chat with the great man himself, Richie Benaud, as we queued for a glass of wine. Perhaps we'll be on the same flight back home if they ever call boarding on 553...

Richie is back in row 4. I wound up with Michael Slater next to me in 1J. Tony Greig is across the aisle.

On BNE-TSV Wed night last (QF976) and Jonathon Thurston (NQ Cowboys) was in 4F (737). Another Cowboy I didn't recognise (had same polo on) went down the back a bit further. JT was on his best behaviour.

No risk management strategy in place in case they lose the entire commentary team on one aircraft then???

He didn't mention Heals, Tubby and Bill Lawry!

Spare us!

I had Lord Downer, Darren Lehmann and some other pollie that I recognised, but not sure of the name on Tuesday morning, QF740.

There was also lessor famous people in row 5 behind me; one guy with an AOM badge and another business man who is on the board of Adelaide Uni. He was a grab the seat when standing up type.

Sat with Jimmy Barnes and his wife from SYD-AKL last night. He and I got chatting and he has invited myself and +1 to his concert on Boxing Day at Mt Maunganui and for a catch up back stage afterwards. Photos will be on Facebook!

Awesome!! Jmmy was really kind. I was allowed to bring 7 friends with me to the concert. Backstage was limited to myself and one guest.

He has invited me to join him for dinner this week in Melbourne.

Great pics! As a small but cheeky favour can you find out where in Glasgow he was born ? My youngest picks his Scots accent a mile off as he "sounds like dad"

Princess.... I will ask him when we have dinner!

I'll let you know what he says.

Sat behind a group of Collingwood players Mel-LA, in plain old economy on the A380. Obviously heading to their training camp. Could've done without having one of them reclining into my lap the whole way, including meals.

Would you expect anything less from a magpie?
