Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Learn how to play golf and then you can have a good walk and a good game at the same time! :p

I'll give it a miss!! The closest I'll get is driving the buggy around!!

Back on topic Saw Ruby Rose in the J lounge in MEL on Thursday and was on my flight to Syd.

You are kidding, right?

I missed this, hence the late response.

Not at all. :) Netball = talent + sport.

Golf = talent but not sport.

I think you've got to move about energetically for it to be called a sport, and not be able to play it in street clothes.

Synchronized swimming is far more a sport than golf is.

Having said that, being a good golfer requires a helluva lot of skill, no denying. But sport? Nah. :)

One of my colleagues said that Ke$ha was at Brisbane airport today. I wasn't there but she apperently flys Virgin.

Ps For those who don't know she sings. I don't know what songs though.

As a few AFFer's would testify playing a round with me is a great spectator sport, guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone's face.
... and that's before you even (attempt to) tee off.

James Tonkins (Oarsome Foursome) MEL-SYD in 23A beside me this morning.

Kerry O'Brien SYD J Domestic Lounge this morning (used 'arrivals' access)

Not whilst travelling, but I bumped into the Hon Lindsay Tanner at the hair salon I go to. I've known that he goes there for a while, but it was the first time our appointments overlapped. The man has style! :D He's looking very well since he's no longer working 18 hour days.

Richard Wilkins (Chan 9 Entertainment Reporter) SYD - AKL (QF 141) last Saturday morning.

Ian Healey in the BNE J lounge. At first I thought it was a look alike thinking he would be in India but Mr Ian Healey was paged by the service desk and up he hopped.

I don't think there is an "e" in his name;)

oops...meant the 2nd "e".

Indeed, it's spelt Ian Healy. I have met him a couple of times, through my love of cricket and knowing his brother Greg (from a business tie-in). Perhaps he didn't get the nod for the broadcasting, or he had family commitments, or perhaps he is going over for the finals.

Another option is that he is retained for the domestic season and thus may have been on his way to a Sheffield Shield match.

Ian Healy & Jimmy Maher were on the Cairns News last night promoting
a legends 20/20 match in Port Douglas in May.

Went this afternoon to a local bar/restaurant in Fortitude Valley (the Cru Bar) with one of my business partners to book lunch tomorrow, as we are being taken by some suppliers who don't know the area and were happy that we chose the venue. As we walk in, Gordon Tallis walks past and smiles. Still a very solid body.

Then again, some of the other bodies there weren't bad either - got to love a fine Brisbane day :D.
