Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

In the bar of the IC Double Bay listening to the trio with singer, guitarist and pianist. Also listening is Marcia Hines.
Now I am miffed. 40 years ago I was involved in getting her to perform at the Maitland Show. Now she walked straight past me and showed no recognition.
Will just have to have another drink.
Don't sweat the small stuff :) I too have been snubbed by now famous people, who used me to get to where they are today

After his disgraceful defence of Pell I think criticism of him is warranted
I suggest you read the full High Court judgement. They ruled that with the evidence given it was impossible for Pell to have done what was claimed.
Unfortunately many allow their distaste for the Catholic church to colour their judgement.
Was an interesting article by Joe Hildebrand in the last week on News.com. He sat down and had a long interview with Pell. He had thought he was guilty but came away believing that Pell did not commit the offence he was originally found guilty of. He still thought his morals were terrible.

Checking in just now at MEL QF domestic/international connections, immediately ahead of me in the line was AFL boss Gillon McLaughlin...I didn't think he would have to stoop to using public checkins! Also I noticed he used the plebs security line instead of the priority one.

Possibly not match fit? 😁

Not at an airport, but my local coffee shop, the recent ex senator for the ACT reading the daily tele and he had on the table a copy of ”the man that owns the news”, had to have a chuckle, plus he was sitting by himself at a table that could seat 5 customers, and the cafe was packed. Doubt many would want to sit with him anyway. :)

I've just stumbled across this thread.....

October 2015, flying back from Perth in J with the family in, what was then, the new A330 J product, Adam Gilchrist was in row 1. Conversation goes something like this:

Mrs_O: I recognise the guy across the aisle.
Me: Yes, It's Adam Gilchrist, the Aussie cricketer.
Mrs_O: Why don't you go and say 'hello'?
Me: Because I'm English and he's not really my hero.

Five minues later, Mrs_O plucks up some courage and takes our baby boy over to him to say 'hello' and manages to snag a couple of photographs of Gilly holding our son.

Jim Chalmers, Treasurer of the Commonwealth, walks past The Merchant at CBR with his (assuming) aide, Thursday last week, waving to the staff at the store.

Not me but my parents flew on a Dash 8 from Napier to Wellington this morning. Flight appeared to be fully boarded until none other than Jacinda Ardern hopped on board and took a seat in the row directly in front of them. She had been in Napier assisting with the cyclone relief efforts.
