Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

In 2009, on a Virgin flight from PER-SYD, I sat next to a middle aged man reading a Top Gear Australia magazine and he looked like one of the 3 hosts on the cover. I don't watch the show nor did I think to ask if it was him at the time.

Last year, I was with my sister at Danks St Depot Sydney Airport before she left for overseas. I glanced over to the food court and noticed St George-Illawarra Dragons player Brett Morris sitting down having lunch with his partner. One of my favourite players but I've got his autograph and met him plenty of times after games. Anyway, I kept glancing over a few times and he noticed me almost every time haha  I was thinking about going over but I left him alone.

My sister works for United Airlines in Chicago and flies quite a bit on staff benefits, mostly in First or Business depending on availability and just pays taxes. I'll have to ask her which famous people she's seen on flights or at airports.

had Chris Tucker on QF736 today, with his security and hangers on taking up most of the business class cabin.

Interestingly enough, when i was leaving the QP in ADL, i somehow ended up in the middle of the entourage not knowing who any of them were. Had to ask one of the middle aged women who were taking photos and having a minor episode who he was (he has put on a fair bit of weight since i saw him last)

Left the SYD J Lounge and waited to board QF431 with Asher Keddie of Gold Logie fame yesterday (15JUN13). Was friendly and very down to earth - just a WP btw.

WTF is Chris Tucker ?

Delta Goodrem and the Voice finalist Celia Pavey on a flight back from Parkes on Rex on Friday evening. Delta was very kind posing for pix with all and sundry - but alas not me.

Chris Lilley (remember the 'Summer Heights' TV series) was sitting 2 rows behind me in J on BA26 HKG-LHR a few months ago. At LHR immigration he happily posed for photos with some of the other J pax who had recognised him. He said he was in UK to 'meet some fans'! Nice guy.

Rob Sitch (dgen, the panel, frontline) and family all in Etihad Y heading for Europe (London I think) we were heading to CDG ex Mel the other night,

Interesting to hear he was at the back of the bus. ;)

Who?

He was probably paying for it himself... Remember a family in Y in peak season could still easily cost 10 grand.

It was a wry reference to his family's former involvement in the bus industry, Sitch Bus Lines was around until 1998 when thy were taken over by Kefford bus lines.

Walking out of the Adelaide QP today I ran into the Dali Lama!! I've never seen someone who carries so much presence about him. He'd just arrived in Adl

You did, I hope, repeat the infamous"what kind if pizza does the Dalai Lama order" routine?...

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know who is Chris Tucker...although he's born on the best day of the year, so he must be a nice guy.

JessicaTam, did you talk to AJ?? Did you ask him what I was showing him on my mobile in the Dubai desert??

Asher...now there is a great actress and person to boot.

Nobody famous on my flights lately, but I did walk past anat0l in his car this morning - thanks for yelling hi :D
